just in case you people thought I died. I haven't. I know it's the last day of the month and I don't usually do this, but I just felt like occupying my time with blogging. and actually some of my time just got spent trying to clear the floor up at my table. so yes, the floor's cleared, but the chair's full of stuff so I can't sit on it. but at least half of the bulky items on the floor have gone away, so even if I dump whatever's on the chair back down onto the floor (and therefore incur my mother's wrath again), it ain't half as bad.
watched the 7th episode of sapuri over the last two nights (it didn't load properly the first night), and decided on downloading the damn series. since I insist that kame looks so good in the show, let's see him bigger, and clearer. yeah I know his complexion isn't the best, but who cares. and download NOW while there are still people willing and available to seed and give some kilobytes to me. and episode 8 is already on its way to completion. and when I finish episode 8, that means that I can watch it! so I don't have to wait for ranP's hardsubbing and ifilm's loading, because I have the subtitles already. dancestar24 is freaking efficient. and I've decided to download sapuri from the ends inwards. so I'm currently on episodes 1, 2 and 8. 7 is supposed to be more crucial (uh some smoochy goes on) but oh heck. it will eventually come.
and at the same time, I'm trying to download the lectures I missed, namely the first sc1101e lecture and the first nuts and bolts lecture for ph1101e. even though I'm not a mac user, I remain the firefox user, which is what mac uses anyway, so I emailed the computer people for the solution. and their solution? download the damn lecture. so that's what I'm doing downloading the dan lectures. oops, the damn lectures. ahaha bad joke there.
honestly speaking, I'd rather be a harry fan than a dan fan. but I guess it's their prerogative.
but the stupid part is, I don't know how big the freaking file is!! it's been downloading and downloading and I fear it is in vain. they have downloaded till about 33-34mb at this stage, and I haven't a clue how big the eventual file will be, because it can't seem to detect the original file size. the freaking lecture is like 1h45min long, and even though the screen is stinking small, I have this awful feeling that the file size may well hit like 100mb or something like that. it's in .wmv, so it shouldn't be so big. but the lecture is sooooooo loooooong...which makes the file even bigger. argh.
3mb later...it continues to download.
hurrmph. I should have started the download of episode 8 earlier, then it would have been completed by now. it can finish today. technically, when I say that, it means that the download will finish before 2am. heh. usually. but I need today to end at midnight latest, because it's early early again tomorrow. yes it's the all dreadful 8am lecture that kicks me out of bed at 6am. and I have NEVER woken up this early for school before. many will begin to throw eggs at me, considering that I DO have friends who have woken up as early as 5am to get to school. and some still do, anyway. but I insist on ranting. hurrmph.
and actually I kinda feel like sleeping already.
but I feel sad saying goodbye to akame. they've been lovely on this blog. really. well next up is matsujun, in this really odd pose, if you ask me. and hana yori dango 2 is slated for january 2007 release! so poor poor matsujun will live with the awful doumyouji curls again! the perm is disgusting, but there isn't much of a choice if they want to follow the manga.
after sapuri's done, I feel like watching kimi wa petto. yes I know it's an old show, but it sounds stupidly interesting. sapuri is a more adult show, focusing on the workplace and the complications of the younger man and older woman relationship, divorce and its effects on the couple and the children, stuff like that. but then again, kimi wa petto seems to deal with some issues like the working career lady, coping with loneliness and so on. yes it's really stupid, and it goes something like that:
matsujun is found knocked out cold and abandoned at koyuki's doorstep. she pities the boy and takes him in. after nursing him back to health, matsujun doesn't want to leave. he says he'll do ANYTHING to stay in her house. she doesn't really know what he can do, so she just says, "well, you can be my pet then."
and therefore, matsujun DOES become her pet, and she calls him momo.
like oh dear, right? but then it's matsujun and koyuki...ahaha. but at least the storyline is a little more salvageable. well that's assuming that perhaps they'll explain why matsujun landed at koyuki's doorstep in the first place, and why he wants so much to stay.
the ultimate drama of pure HUH?! is galcir, also known as gal circle. in japanese it's garu-sa. sister and I stumbled upon it while looking for kurosagi on youtube. somebody had labelled galcir wrongly as kurosagi, so sister started loading the first clip. and boy was it RIDICULOUS!!!!!
okay here's how it goes.
there's this huge bunch of girls gathered in this huge central area, all decked out the tightest tops, shortest skirts, highest boots, killer heels, sporting blonde ceramic permed hair and power eyeliner and mascara. and what are they going to do? they start dancing para para (oh dearie me)! but as the girls go on, they get bitchy, saying that some of the girls shouldn't be here because they're either 1. lousy at it or 2. just plain ugly. and then just before things get REALLY ugly and the catfight almost ensues, a stylish girl walks on to the stage set up there and starts telling them to shut their traps and stop fighting because it's disrupting their original purpose -- to dance para para. this girl is toda erika (the girl acting as mariko in nobuta), and somehow everyone listens to her and shuts up.
and then the scene changes.
fujiki naohito (we were stunned when we saw straight man because we distinctly remember he is NOT part of kurosagi cast) is a red indian (huh?!) who speaks japanese (HUH?!). he comes to japan by jumping off an american military plane which is flying over japan (like for what?!) and lands via parachute (oh my goodness). he crashes into a restaurant, owned by namase katsuhisa (aka the head teacher in gokusen 1), dressed in this cowboy getup, complete with the hat, bandana, tight pants and boots. not forgetting the starry starry star on the boots. everyone in the restaurant is absolutely dumbfounded, and namase is obviously very upset. namase and the customers were talking about the problems that the high school girls in shibuya (that's where they are, by the way) incur are getting worse and worse before he came crashing down, and then here comes fujiki crashing down. and namase asks fujiki what the HECK is he doing here? and fujiki tells them:
oh I'm looking for a bunch of girls who dance para para.
namase and customers have absolutely no idea what on EARTH he is talking about and then I don't really remember what happens next at the restaurant. but later the scene cuts again to this wigwam in the middle of some semi desert place and then this little red indian looking boy asks his similarly red indian costumed dad something in english, and the dad tells him that he must speak japanese, and remember his brother (ie, fujiki naohito) in japan. which is pure crap!!!
and we couldn't watch on really. really couldn't. anyway according to drama wiki, the story goes on that fujiki naohito becomes 'a new type of hero, helping to solve problems that afflict shibuya-gals'.
like WTH.
oh and yaguchi mari's in it too. yeah that ultra short ex-musume. gosh. can't believe such a nonsensical and senseless story was actually approved, and the ratings aren't all that bad either. 10.8% to 16% ratings! that's not too poor. not wonderful, but still...
waaaaaahhhhh my sapuri 08 has downloaded enough for me to watch a leeeeeeetle bit of it! waaaahhh! I want to watch! and it's so freaking clear! WAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!! KAZUYAAAAAAAA...........
oh dearie me. the kame's striking back. ooooh dear. power pack. I realised that my last 2 entries didn't have a single word of kame at all. ooooh. so kame kame kame kame is back again. ahaha. ky must be flipping soon.
ky the pirate that sails on only the jay chou seas. great. my ocean a bit bigger.
oooooh and I want the kizuna shirt! the one here:
uh, the snapshot is from the program 24hour terebi, and it's really crazy. the one I have is obviously, if you know the lyrics, seishun amigo. they got like 10.3 million people all over japan to dance along with them. yeah you didn't read that wrongly. if I counted my zeros correctly, it really is 10.3 million. well somebody calculate the zeros for me. the number of people dancing simultaneously to seishun amigo (yes, that awkward dance) is on the top right hand corner of the screenshot. oh oh oh and they even got morizo and cicorro from the AICHI EXPO too!!!!!
I didn't purposely catch kame on screenshot, by the way. hiak. but oooooh how I love those two mascots! AHH!!!! they are uber cuteee!!!
and anyway I think I ought to sleep. seriously. enough about the kame-ing. oh no no one more thing. after shuuji and akira formed, people couldn't stop talking about yamapi and kame together. yeah yeah you know their whole hype about yaoi. and then since akame was a term formed by combining akanishi jin and kamenashi kazuya together, people decided to do that too. they didn't want to use kameyama, because that's like tourist destination in japan. it's a nice place though. heh. so they turned it the other way around, i.e.
yamakame. 山亀. which in hokkien...you know the rest of the story.
AHAHAHA. my sister and I cracked up when we realised that. super funny. oh well.
oh crap, the sc lecture is stuck at 38mb as of now, and the ph one is 41.2mb. it's never going to finish soon. I should like turn on the computer like early tomorrow morning and start right. then perhaps by the time I arrive home tomorow it should be like done?! oh gosh. can't believe it if it's going to take this long. hurrmph.
arienaitsu no!!!
AHAHA that's like makino tsukushi famous line. and then there was this segment on G no arashi where ohno imitated inoue mao by saying that, and matsujun was next to him, trying to host the show and simply cracked up and then went on normally again. so silly, these juniors. then again, so are the jrockers. watched the secret files of the diru dvd this morning. I last watched them so long ago. does anybody know if there are dvds which can store like 8gb? because if there is, I'm getting one. it can't be that a direct rip from the dvd and completely uncompressed can come up to 7 odd gig. the dvd is only ONE piece. apparently gackt has a new dvd and the direct rip available on jpopsuki is also 7 plus gb. puzzling, puzzling.
puzzle no more. sleep.

akame august 28
alright man. the dir en grey file finished!
and I didn't even know, until I checked my downloads. and then I realised that the colours are wrong. a downloading file is blue, and a seeding one is green. there ought to be only 1 green file, but I saw 2. ooooh, when I realised that the diru one had completed. which is COOL! and I opened it, and realised why there are so many million secret files for this dvd. no wonder I had hell trying to get every single secret file. so looks like that folder in my hdd can go. unless there's something there that doesn't belong to the dvd...better check. another day, when I have the time.
just had first round of tutorials today. yes indeed today is tutorial day. and I realised I bidded for the nm tutorial just one slot in front of gladys and fiona! how upsetting. but cool dude in my class. heh. oops. year 3. good hair, lovely earring. it's one of those chain earrings that you usually pull through a few holes, but he only had one hole, and so the chain ends were dangling temptingly. felt like swinging the ends around, like how I always play with ulu's dangly earrings. and the funniest part was that I went for philo tutorial after that, and then this person who looked so much like him came walking in.
only that this time it was really a girl. oopsy daisy.
AHAHA. and shorter. oh well. but it was funny anyway. or at least I thought it was. gladys was absolutely appalled by the androgeny. hiaks.
tomorrow my arm exercise continues. at least the leg one will pause a while. I took a stupid route to get to class this morning and ended up doing waaaaaay more exercise than I should have, really. but at least I'm used to the lt11 to lt9 stunt already, and there's always sufficient time, so it's not so bad. and I'm beginning to feel tired. and sleepy. so it's time to sleep.

back of the class slackers group. great name, ky. fantastic.
you didn't have to expose our dirty deeds, did you? ahaha. but we were really the back of the class slackers bunch. we were the ones reading comics, reading doujinshi, reading magazines, exchanging gossip, talking about the latest videos and dramas, copying lyrics, passing notes, sleeping in class, copying homework.
how did we make it this far? I don't know.
oh and jay chou has released his latest music video for the song he worked on with fei yu ching. it's available on jpopsuki, one of the best bittorrent trackers around. ky you want? ahaha the pirate always strikes back.
I've actually been a pirate since primary school days. when we had napster. for free. and then I told mel guan about it and she started downloading herself. and she was horrid, because she enjoyed watching people download from her all the way till they reached about 80+% or even more, and then she'll disconnect. which was pure evil. but then again, what we didn't understand about that program then that we understand now, is that you can disconnect, but the person may not be downloading only from you. peer to peer works such that you may download from more than 1 person at the same time. but of course if it so happens that you're the only one sharing that particular file at that particular time, then it's really too bad for the other party.
and I'm still tired. I don't really know why I'm here. just that I guess I'm tired of staring at the troubleshooting pages and trying to figure how to get the webcasts to work. apparently my idiot media centre version of windows xp actually doesn't come with the windows media player plugin. which is STUPID, in my opinion. I thought that should have been basic, considering they're both windows programs. so stupid. but anyway I've gotten part of that fixed. as in the windows media player plugin is back INTO my firefox, that is, but the webcasts uses a slightly different technology that my firefox still doesn't want to support. which is irritating, because it means that I have to go use internet explorer all the time. argh. and I don't like internet explorer.
and I think my sister should just go get a mac. get an imac. at the rate she's using imac applications, she really might as well go get one herself. but then again, that will have to wait till her fujitsu crashes, which she doesn't really want either, because I think she hasn't back-uped her files.
okay enough about the comp. but then there's nothing else left to say really. just that last night we confirmed that the guy in the second case of kurosagi is also from news, and that his picture on drama wiki reminds us two sisters of nicholas teo. seriously. it's the hair and the pose.
---------------------------------------------------------------
failed to post this yesterday, so I'm here again today. the date has been changed to today's, though. I don't know if I'll update the rest of the month, so take this time to quickly catch up on all the entries you've missed!!! ahaha. actually I'm on the way to completing my archive repair, so you can expect proper archive pages soon enough. the layouts page is fixed too, so you can see layouts 2 months ahead. not that many care actually. but the archives will take a while more because while I'll probably allow early access, there will be a lot of broken links and broken pictures, which is not good. but I have to host them all over again, and I don't really want to jam my present account.
I've finally finished the koda kumi discography, and the angela aki is on the way. almost, almost. I'm trying to increase the female voice on my itunes, remember? that's why I took the ikimono gakari too. heh. okay actually that's because I like the song they sang on music station. ehm.
and I ought to sleep. seriously. 10am tutorial. hurrmph.
oh and I just watched snippets of my incompleted file of dir en grey's 2003 concert at yokohama arena. and once again I remember why I love diru so much. my mp3 player's back to diru, by the way. hiak. and this concert is absolutely fantabulous. unfortunately the 4.35gb version doesn't seem to be the full version, which sucks, because I don't know what I'm going to do with the 7.39gb one. the quality's cool, and I can play it. but how to store?! and it's complete with secret files. however the multi-angle children file doesn't quite work. perhaps it doesn't quite work yet. because it's supposed to be the performance of children taken from the cameras which focused on the 5 different members, so I should get 5 files. but presently it only plays the kyo one, and I don't get to select who I want to see. then again, by default I love kyo so that's that.

righto. kinda sleepy sleepy. had my 8am lecture today, then met up with maril a while! which was good anyway. I dumped my 16 page essay on her. oops. it's 16 only because of the way I've formatted it actually, and by the default formatting it ought to be longer than that. but let's not go there. I've turned it into a reading for zy1101e and I think that's bad enough. so vicks if you thought your 3.5 page email thingy was long, trust me, maril always gets it worse.
and I can't rant too much nowadays, because atspace.com, my darling host, has an upload limit of 200kb, and this page is happily hitting over 100kb and I still have a few more days to go...including today. so that's bad news. I hate this 200kb limit nonsense, but not much choice.
and I'm really sleepy. but I'm watching yamapi knock his mic stand over again. oh it's so funny! not worth downloading, but worth laughing over again and again. oops. yamapi fan army will run after me sooner or later. I just don't fancy the boy. I just like my kame...oops. ky's going to roll her eyes again.
anyway...uni's been odd, really. it's a reunion of the secondary school friends more than anything else. the long disappeared kayan appears, the mad gladys appears once more, I'm still stuck on victoria, and then I'm making better friends with fiona, and then I'm stuck on crystal too. I don't really know what happened to all the jc kids. really. and then because I shuffled my tutorials around, now I'm not free on monday to go out with jo and meida and mae. like darn.
and school's started but somehow I feel like I'm running away from that fact. it's so far, so hot, then lt so cold, then I don't always have friends in lecture, tutorials are about to start and there's homework, then there's lecture notes to print, lectures to listen to, notes to take, and I'm still here at the computer on a daily basis, checking out my friends' page, downloading torrential amounts of torrents, checking my mail, blogging, watching youtube. I just feel like an escapist. argh. I was trying so hard to get myself into the go to school mode, I planned my modules, my timetable, I checked out the campus map so I wouldn't get half lost, I asked my sis about stuff and I logged onto ivle and got my notes fast, but then it seems to have fizzled. and then again, school ain't exciting. or is it? I don't know.
argh. I guess I ought to sleep. I'm so tired. it's been such a long day. and the bus home, although kamikaze-ish, was an incredible oven because the air con wasn't working too well. sheesh. and everyday I pass by chinese high in the morning and see njc when I go home and then I think of ym. sigh.
there's something wired wrongly in me. then again, we all knew that already, didn't we?

I am back. muahaha.
I won't rant too much today, because I'm tired of looking at the screen already. just printed the first section of the book. the whole book, my philo lecturer has named that file. so there's loads of plato to do. not very palatable, but not much of a choice. I made this choice after all.
just watched the making of 'signal' PV. a little disturbing. tanaka koki remains as irritating as ever, and actually nakamaru yuichi is quite annoying too, really. and although junno is cute, he's actually terribly childish. and the other members are always rolling their eyes at him. quite poor thing huh. and ueda is SUPER CUTE! XD he's so poor thing, because he tried his best at the individual filming, then when he came back to the other members to ask for opinions, they all pretended that they had fallen asleep! poor ueda.
and actually for all the attitude akanishi displays, it ain't that bad really. he's quite happy happy, but boy does he have a lot of opinions on how the pv should go. but I guess that's good too. and kame is quite grouchy. yeah I know the filming takes hours, and everybody's tired, but he seems kinda irritatable and all. not the usual cheeky kame who talks non stop. then again, nakamaru talks more than he does actually. discovered that when watching the kaizokuban concert again. terrible.
well kame was quite normal at the beginning of the filming, and he was wearing what looks like yamapi's red suspenders in kurosagi! ahaha. looks like they've been reused huh. well signal was released just after kurosagi aired, so hmmm. ahaha. but I guess kame had good reasons to be annoyed. while we happily call him kame kame, actually it' not very nice after all. it works in chinese too, I mean, calling someone 乌龟 all the time isn't too nice, and it's the same effect as calling someone a tortoise all the time.
but I'll still call him kame. easier.
ahahahahaha. poor thing. he was called KAME KAME throughout the ENTIRE thing. and after a while he got angry and called tanaka HAGE, which means baldy. and then after that he insulted his nose and his jaw as well, and then akanishi started laughing and said the one with the bad jaw (mouth, rather) is junno, isn't it? and then kame refused to answer and went to get in place for filming. and they were still calling KAME KAME...
poor thing.
and I'm feeling terribly hungry now. I was feeling terribly hungry last night. this rumbly tumbly feeling. ahaha that's taken from pooh bear. but seriously, because I didn't eat much today. just had 4 chueh kueh for brunch. and a packet of chocolate milk. heh. it's survived me till now, even though mummy went out and I started doing some karaoke at home, played some piano and banged to my itunes.

listened to [KR] cube just now. and then I thought of this part in kurosagi, when yamapi was going to meet this client, but then he looked around, and realised that the police was waiting to ambush him. he spotted kashina, the police inspector hot on his heels for a long time now, then he smiled and began chanting and clapping,
oni-san, oni-san, kochira te no naru hou e
which is basically like the first line of [KR] cube, and it relates to this childhood game whereby the it is blindfolded, and has to catch the rest by following the sound of the others' clapping. so yes yes they started running like hell after yamapi. and as always, since it's a drama, yamapi seems to be japan's fastest runner, and the japanese police look like their brainless and out of shape. oh well.

anybody missed me? I missed myself. AHAHA. finished watching kurosagi on sunday, so didn't have time to blog. yes against my principles I faithfully followed a yamapi drama but that can't really be helped because it was terribly amusing really. and unfortunately I do like the song very much. oh and it doesn't help that I always envision kame's intrusion on music station when I hear it. oops. kame again, right?
received a comment from yuna about kame goodness. AHAHA. I really can't pinpoint exactly what's this craze over kame is all about but most certainly this fandom won't die too fast. yes I'm sorry ky the kame-ness ensues. and because the kame-ness continues, SAPURI DOES TOO!!!! but before that happens (I'm waiting for it to load, you see), I'll like to thank dancestar24 for subbing the freaking series in the first place. dancestar24 is also the darling who subbed nobuta wo produce. =) and of course, special thanks to nomanymore.blogspot.com for providing the series in the first place! the quality ain't too good, but for a series that is presently ongoing (the 7th episode just aired and the 6th is out online for watching already), it's good enough! for the kame fans who want to share the joy, sapuri is here. scream with me!!! episode 6 has just been upped and lookin' good. WOOT!!!
okay sapuri and kame-ness aside (for a while). last night travelled long long way to boon lay to visit our dear friends living on the island itself. I nearly puked on the train because it was oh so horribly crowded and then there was this incredible sweat smell on board. ugh. I was so glad when the train reached jurong east interchange and then one third or so of the train got off. phew. it smelt so much better. and not to mention that the amount of space increased by so much.
and ching huey came along! I didn't expect that. and she's sharing room with jia en. ahaha. oh and if jia en's excited about the comic shop at jurong point, try this. NUS is having a comic rental (and I think they sell some) at the co-op itself. yes that means the freaking school bookshop (which is so darn near arts fac) is renting and selling comics. so you don't even need to travel. but crys was running off for lecture so I didn't see how much they were going for. heh. but that don't matter. it can't be too high or nobody would bother anyway. not everyone's that desperate.
but anyway we had fun and laughter over dinner and dinner wasn't too bad. and I haven't been to jurong point proper in ages (the last time it was half opening). not bad, not bad. jia en was like this advertiser for jurong point. we asked what's there to eat in there, and she proudly declared:
you name it, we have it!
WE have it huh. ahaha. we were so horribly amused by her advertising. the funniest part? actually she doesn't really know the place, because she doesn't get to go often. she just started school after all. hiaks.
anyway. didn't get all my tutorials!! ARGH! and then because I stupidly forgot that the second iteration is today, I missed the time. the stupid cors closed at 5, while I only reached home at 530. ARGH. so irritated. let's hope there are still decent slots available. I don't really want to come at 8am, but I guess every other week isn't too bad really. but I don't want to go to school every other monday for ONE 2 hour tutorial!!! nooooooooooo......
on a more exciting note, we watched something terribly amusing in samurai and geisha class today. terribly amusing. because we're now on samurai, so we catapulted ourselves into this long long long family feud between the clans of taira and minamoto. so the story goes that they don't like each other for so many gezillion things, then the usual drama ensues (the story is supposed to be true okay), and in the end they have this huge battle between taira's tomomori and minamoto's all famous yoshitsune.
so the usual swordfight occurs, with the two jumping on and off each other's ships and chopping other people's heads off and trying to swipe at each other. with yoshitsune in red and tomomori in black, the two fight and fight and jump and jump and nothing seems to really happen. oh and mind you, the costume makes it SUPER hard to fight!! it's so bulky and nonsensical and the way they fight comes to the point where this tragedic and legendary story becomes a complete comedy.
and then it gets funnier.
so since nothing's happening, they're trying to fight each other but every attack is met with an equally strong defence. so how? somebody must win, right?? so what happens next? what happens next is that tomomori jumps once again (I think they'll all get an A++ for standing broad jump) and ooooooh he cuts yoshitsune's face! oh horrors upon horrors, yoshitsune's face is bleeding from this cut on his cheek which is barely 5cm long!!!
angered, yoshitsune jumps too, and SHING!!! tomomori's face is bleeding too!!! oh no!! they've cut each other's faces! aww man, the pretty face is disfigured! but instead of continuing the battle and cutting each other into pieces, tomomori is reminded of the past, when he was yoshitsune's childhood friend, and they used to get into silly fights and roll down grassy slopes, and they ended up with cuts on their faces, like now. so you see two cute little boys fighting and rolling like all little boys do, and laughing in the end, because they're both as ugly as each other with cuts on their faces and bruises.
so the tired and pained older tomomori steps back while younger yoshitsune holds his sword high, ever ready to take on any attack by tomomori. but instead, tomomori takes off his superb headgear, and his longish brownish greying hair comes down to don his haggard face, and then you realise...
oh my gosh it's abe hiroshi!!!!!
AHAHAHA. and as if that's not enough, I went to check drama wiki, and confirmed my suspicions. the younger yoshitsune is acted by a johnny. and his name is.........
takizawa hideaki.
AHAHAHAHAHAHHA oh my gosh I feel like watching the show!!! it's so drama and so comedic that the entire lecture theatre couldn't stop laughing. unfortunately for myself, the entire drama is 49 stinking episodes long. but it's so funny anyway. and apparently as I looked down the cast listing, there's also ueto aya and oguri shun! aiyoh! azumi not enough ah? this drama was shown only last year! oh no I just looked again and there's also goto maki, and there's IMAI TSUBASA!! ahaha.
but seriously, it was FUNNY. it wasn't meant to be, but it turned out that way. and when abe hiroshi took the first move and slashed takizawa's face, crystal was like oh noez he cut the pretty face! and pretty face no happy! and I just couldn't stop laughing. I wasn't sure if it were really takky because the headgear is really too amazing. but I went to check and it's really him! downloading one of the episodes now. I hope it's the right one. it's simply too comical to miss for my life is worth. and the WHOLE series is up for download. gosh these people are really mad. but then again, since it has takky in it, I guess some people would be willing to do it. but I can't find oguri shun's name on the relation table. I found goto maki and ueto aya, but couldn't find oguri. hurrmph. oh oh oh and there's toda naho (yep the sickening secretary from shomuni) and itoh atsushi (densha otoko!) too! ahaha. what a cast.
anyway, yoshitsune aside. it's time for sapuri!! but the unfortunate part is that it didn't load past the 18th minute mark. looking forward to yoshitsune though. even though I don't support takky at all (he's so tackey. literally), but I really really thought that part was uber funny. and mine will come with subtitles! my lecturer didn't show the one with subs. I guess he bought that. since he loves samurai and all those japanese legends and myths so much. I wouldn't be surprised. yoshitsune is terribly famous. and it seems that NHK has actually created 2 productions on yoshitsune, with this takky one being the second. duh.
gosh I'm feeling so tired now. perhaps I should watch sapuri tomorrow morning instead. I don't know. should I? or I shall just continue typing my long long essay first, then if by midnight the show doesn't look like it's gonna finish fast then forget it. yeah man. can't wait for yoshitsune. oops.
oh and crappily my diru file has seriously turned into a dvd file. gosh and I don't know how I'm going to navigate it now. I think I just have to wait till it's done and see what can be done. because it's too freaking big to fit into a dvd, but I know it works, because previously I played it in pieces and it's alright. unfortunately now it's become a real dvd file, and I must select from menu now. but because it's not complete I can't do that either. ARGH.
today's been an ARGH day. perhaps I should just go sleep. but I slept so much on the bus. I practically knocked out on the bus. couldn't help it I guess. woke up pretty early today. but today's lectures were good stuff. ahaha. just too hilarious. the effects are terrible. and crystal's commentary ain't pretty either. ahaha.

I'm actually very tired. I think I'm so tired.
okay that was redundant. had a long day yesterday. went out early early for 8am lecture, only to be 20 minutes late anyway, and then there was the wait in between, stuck at crystal's hostel room, then the philo lecture which was quite interesting but I was so darn sleepy, and then the gastritis because of stupid me and then lunch by myself at subway, doing my own stuff, then vicks finally came, went round taka a litttle, then had dinner with wendy chua, siok hoon, angela and wendy tan.
oh gosh.
then today woke up a bit late and rushed down to church with sister for worship practice at 1130 in the morning, had a weird lunch (I think it tastes a bit off because I'm still sick), hurriedly messaged emily to tell her I couldn't make it, as in my body can't take it to usher at garage today, went for spa, came home and napped, went out for dinner, came home to bathe, waited for my sis to finish using the comp and here I am.
oh oh gosh.
now for my johnny's report. after watching the full and clear episode of music station, I still cannot stop laughing. why? because on youtube, everything is in pixels, and I couldn't make out what was printed at the back of yamapi's ah beng rocker wannabe jacket. or at least I thought I couldn't make out what it was exactly. then after watching I confirmed my suspicions. stupid stupid yamapi is actually wearing this leather jacket thingy which declares in huge bold silver lettering,
I am irritating
and he happily dances on to daite senorita. oh gosh. I can't stop laughing. I can't believe anybody would agree to wear such a thing. it's like wearing a shirt that says I am stupid. same effect. sheesh. and then apparently kame came running in onstage because he was in a nearby studio doing some photoshoot. but then my sister and I stared at kame, up, down, wherever the cameraman allowed, and then concluded that either the photoshoot is going to start, or it's done. but since kame ran off halfway through the show, we concluded that it hadn't started yet. at least I don't really think the jimusho is allowing their artistes to simply tie their hair, put minimal makeup, run around in a t-shirt and normal jeans, with a pair of rubber slippers (you know, the kind to whack cockroaches) and take a magazine photoshoot right?! I wouldn't. not for the life of me.
and of course, the kame report. my sister took a copy of mypaper (我报), the supposed chinese version of today. she flipped and flipped through the whole thing until it came to the page on japanese and korean happenings. one scan across the page and she spotted kame's name. apparently the viewership of sapuri is poorer than expected, and apparently it's thanks to an old rumour of kame's. in may this year, kame was caught with koizumi kyoko, this actress who's exactly 20 years older than he is. sapuri is about something that (is supposed to) develops between kame and itoh misaki, who is 29 this year, while kame is 20. so the fans ain't happy about this, well, demi moore stunt. silly fans aren't glad about the reminder that their darling kame went for some older lady some time ago (despite it being a damned rumour) and so they have decided to boycot the drama.
AHAHA. that's stupid too, in my opinion.
somehow for all the diehard fan I am of all these people, I have no qualms about them getting attached, married, go ahead, by all means. hyde got married and megumi gave birth, which is good! so there's another hyde in the world! AHAHA. but ain't that good? I think it is. and even if the child takes after megumi, that ain't bad either. megumi looks good too. I don't know what's wrong with these funny fans. don't let me catch them wishing their favourite artistes shiawase, because that's stinking hypocritical.
and now I should sleep. need to wake up early early again tomorrow. and my sister burnt kurosagi from her friend already, so I can go watch tomorrow! and hopefully by tomorrow my rash would go down further. yeah I'm allergic to some crap medicine the doctor gave me. so I've got this power allergy rash. sheesh. I'm barely allergic to anything really, and this sucks. for one, it's itchy like hell.
oh and yes that implies that I'm sick. uh getting well, getting well. seriously. I'm not as deluded as aileen. ahaha. time to sleep! eeek big pimple popping. very painful.
and maril I owe you one long email. I think I shall explain some things. get well soon, I love you still. =)

part two.
because I just read ky's blog. hurrmph. there are certain pop fads which don't seem to fade in my life. that means these entertainment industry people come and they don't seem to go. and I don't know exactly why all the time. I just love them and there it goes. and because I'm a girlie girl, these people I go mad over are male. which makes sense. unfortunately (for some people), these males don't exactly look the part but that's why I go gaga in the first place. call me warped, call me twisted I don't quite care anymore.
one is dir en grey, which doesn't seem to go away no matter what. they can produce shit singles and I still support them. they remove all the makeup and all the mad clothes, look like harajuku ah bengs and I still love them.
two, is miyavi. don't ask me why. I love that boy so much. probably because he's not exactly the typical jrocker who's always trying to act cool and gothic. instead, miyavi takes a happier approach and is a madhat performer with madhat songs to go with it, but he does produce really cool songs now and then. also, I like his type of rock. yes, the fast bang bang slam kind. to hell with those slow poke simple plan and busted. you want to hear angsty? please refer back to diru. thank you.
three, is gackt and hyde. don't ask why they come in a package. I think it's a good package. I love them both really. they sing well, they write well and I think they just rock. they've been around for years and years and they look better as they grow older, come out with new hits and new singles and fantastic arrangements and I love them to death. and actually they're two rockers who sing REALLY REALLY well. not to mention that they have INCREDIBLY unique voices. seriously.
four, is kame. matsujun is an on off thing, as you can already tell. and honestly speaking, I do have other johnny favourites. I like domoto koichi (which is why I don't care for tsuyoshi), okada junichi (which is another reason behind downloading tokyo tower) and I love watching imai tsubasa (other than the fact that kat-tun dances behind him). I really couldn't stand arashi (and I still can't actually) because the first member I recognised was OHNO and that's a really bad sign. I'm sorry to all OHNO fans but he's really OH NO. and I guess I wasn't much into johnnies. if you want to talk about it, I'm still not. I just love kame. jpop is a good break from jrock though.
so I just like the kame who's an ah beng in gokusen, who's a smarty pants in kindaichi, who's a hypocrite who ties up his fringe in this silly manner in nobuta, who's a stupid childish naive newbie in sapuri, who's an attention whore on tv programs, who's a camera whore in photoshoots, who's a cheeky little boy who tries too hard to act sexy (he doesn't have to try actually), who's a weirdo for trimming his eyebrows straight up, and who's one of the lead singers of kat-tun and doesn't sound too good and sings DAMN loudly into the mic.
kame is a TURTLE and so be it. hurrmph.
I like his turtle, in fact. SO CUTE AND SQUISHABLE LOOKING!!!!!! uh yah, that's kame, when he was like 16? ahaha.

okie. just to let you I'm alive and kicking. yeah I was sick, still am, but much better now. went to see the doctor last night, slept hell lot and feeling much better now. still have that slight throat swellin' nonsense but at least no more fever and NO MORE HEADACHE. gosh the headache yesterday was indescribable. not that it was really hurting, but this disgusting throbbing feeling which I hate very much.
anyway, on to happier things.
I completed that music station episode I was downloading! and boy is it so clear. okay not full screen clear, but double size clear, if you get what I mean. apparently kame was in a studio damn nearby and knowing that yamapi was going to perform, he decided to be naughty and come in halfway. oh and v6 performed on the same episode too! a pity okada junichi cut his hair (argh it initially looked like his hair in tokyo tower which is GOOD) but miyake ken looks better with his new spiky hairstyle (can't believe I'm actually saying this). and to my sister's shock and horror, sakamoto and nagano are actually older than gackt. AHAHAHA. or rather, sakamoto's one year older and nagano is the same age. like what are they doing prancing and jumping onstage?!
then again, check out smap.
and I don't know what is it about kame that bothers ky so much. it's something about his eyeliner now. he looked fine in nobuta. looks better in sapuri. heh. well okay the eyeliner bothered her, the eyebrows bother her too. his eyebrows remind me of shou, though. for all the eyebrow experts say, these japanese don't exactly bother trimming them such. there's always this perfect angle thing that the eyebrow trimmers talk about, such that you get this proper arch that fits your face. it's something like ensuring certain parts of the eyebrow are parallel to other features like the side of your nose and your lips and such so that you trim it in accordance to your face shape.
but of course, not everyone cares for that.

as can be seen, they don't quite care very much about that eyebrow thing. anyway, that's kame, shou, saga, hyde, miyavi, matsujun, daisuke. so there.
I think I'd better eat my lunchie, my medicine and go back to sleep. I shall continue my eyebrow thesis next time.

I remembered what I forgot last night. I knew something was missing. it was this song:
"Jesus Take The Wheel" - Carrie Underwood
She was driving last Friday on her way to Cincinnati
On a snow white Christmas Eve
Going home to see her Mama and her Daddy with the baby in the backseat
Fifty miles to go and she was running low on faith and gasoline
It'd been a long hard year
She had a lot on her mind and she didn't pay attention
she was going way too fast
Before she knew it she was spinning on a thin black sheet of glass
She saw both their lives flash before her eyes
She didn't even have time to cry
She was sooo scared
She threw her hands up in the air
Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this on my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
To save me from this road I'm on
Jesus take the wheel
It was still getting colder when she made it to the shoulder
And the car came to a stop
She cried when she saw that baby in the backseat sleeping like a rock
And for the first time in a long time
She bowed her head to pray
She said I'm sorry for the way
I've been living my life
I know I've got to change
So from now on tonight
Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this on my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
To save me from this road I'm on
Jesus take the wheel

everybody scream with me NOW.
my hdd is working.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yes indeed my hdd is working. my external harddisk drive is working. my z:/ is working, aka New Friend. yes that's what I told weixiang to call it for me. and it's special thanks to adrian for getting it to work. he kindly asked about our new hdd, especially after he heard that we got a new computer and the hdd got an external casing. so my sister told him that it doesn't work and she can't understand why. she explained the whole situation to him, then he said OH.
"it's a jumper problem, I guess," he said.
simi eh jumper?
well apparently, a jumper is this PUNY little piece that may be either black or white, and it fits nicely over TWO little pins. if it's placed over the wrong pair of pins, then the wiring would be wrongly configured. so basically what happened was that my new hdd had the jumper placed over the wrong pair of pins, and so the external case couldn't read the drive. it could read that a hdd had been plugged into the external cover, but couldn't read the info, because the jumper was covering the wrong pair of pins.
SO STUPID RIGHT.
I can't believe that my one month of misery and despair and frustration was due to a tiny itsy bitsy little black thing that was in the wrong position. oh man. that sounds pathetic. seriously. ARGH.
but it's working now!!!!!!! so now I can embark on my layouts pages and my archive pages. yeah I know I need to clean them up very badly. and I need to reorganise my stuff very badly.
okay other than hdd. went for garage on friday night and helped out for saturday's garage too. if you're wondering what on earth it is, here's a little advertisement for ya.
okay GARAGE is a performance event held by the Performing Arts (PArts) ministry of Singapore Youth For Christ (SYFC). it's held a few times a year at the SYFC hq, which is Emmanuel House, 10 Lorong 27A geylang road. they have their own stash of actors, musicians and dancers, and the various garages have different themes. so the people at PArts will perform for you as you eat dinner! and the cost is usually below 10 bucks. I've never seen it exceed really. so if you're interested you can come down and watch!
this time's garage is an All-American garage! so they've invited an american band by the name of Carpenter's Tools, International. they'll be performing some familiar english numbers, as well a chinese song! yes ang moh sing chinese. the PArts team is singing too, and they'll be singing a couple of jazz numbers and a few songs from the past couple of american idol seasons. dinner is chicken and pork ribs (mind you they're large okay), and dessert is rootbeer float! and it's only 8 bucks.
yes I know it's a bit late, because 2 garages have passed, but there are two more coming up, on the 18th and 19th. however, the 19th is a concert at the DBS auditorium, free of charge, but no dinner. so...hiak. depends on your priorities, I guess. ahaha.
anyway, I was helping out at saturday's garage. and I swear I will NEVER be a waitress. not in my entire life. it was pure madness, getting the food ready, ensuring there were enough plates, enough plates were prepared, trying to serve as fast as possible without dropping anything from the plate, refilling water constantly, getting the root beer float ready, running around to clear mess, clear rubbish, oh gosh. my feet hurt very much after that. in fact, my feet still kinda hurt. oh well. and then after the whole event we all helped to get the place back to its original form. that meant moving all the chairs back into the hall on the 2nd floor and all the tables back to room 3c on the 3rd floor. oh gosh. and the stage pieces into the stairwell. but I didn't help with that. I was helping with the chairs mainly.
and helping out with the chairs made me think of those days when we were on duty to restore the band room back to its original table and chair arrangement. those were the mad days when we dragged the tables out of the vivaldi room, dragged the towers of chairs in, and let them all bang down noisily on the floor. which explains why the vivaldi room is full of weird scratches and dents. heh. and then after band, we'll have to rewind that scene.
but it was cool. I think I hadn't done something like that in years. it's been a long time since I sweat so much from helping to move furniture, and being so tired that I went high, and felt terribly warm, as if I was sunburnt. yes indeed that feeling hasn't struck me for a long time. that tired fever. somehow my body temperature increases when I'm really tired. physically, really. when I'm mentally tired the fever continues even after I bathe.
and then today went out with vicks to the national library book fair. and although it was vicky who asked me along, I ended up the one with the books. vicks didn't buy a single thing. while I bought 4 books! and they were going for a dollar each. dirt cheap. and I found one of the books I bought on gwen's book meme. ahaha. it sounded pretty interesting. nothing my dad would read, though. heh. but my dad seemed to know this detective mystery author. I've never heard of her. I'm too lazy to get the book from my table and type it here. heh.
school's starting on tuesday. and it's so surreal. I feel as if it ain't happening. I guess reality has struck for all at ntu already. I can see it's hit gracie tan already. and ulu's getting ready for the major hit. while I'm preparing for the biggest blow of my life. ahaha. okay I don't think it'll be that bad. lian sze has faith that it won't be that bad. ahaha. oh well I guess different people are different. going to school's adjustment can't be as big as lian sze getting used to another member of the ang family.
oh and speaking of the ang family. the child's name is getting funnier and funnier. the last time marcus suggested naming the child boomer, then his/her name would be boomer ang. yeah we don't know whether it's a boy or a girl. so now it's gotten worse. if it's a boy, then he'll be called boomer ang mo kio. if it's a girl, then it's boomer ang ku kueh!! so lame lah! oh my goodness! we couldn't stop laughing on friday night. we were all so high. so dumb. but what a good laugh. lian sze is laughing at all our lousy names too. I think the couple probably has a few names in mind already, but obviously, none of ours. AHAHA. oh and apparently one of the committee members think that since jacob wants a name that starts with the letter 'j' (for obvious reasons), then he should name his child jurong! oh gosh just as bad really.
oh oh oh and my miyavi torrent has completed! so now I have full hyde gackt diru and miyavi discographies! and thus my sister really must pass me the laruku one. then I'll have great competition on my itunes. hiak. oh and I've just embarked on downloading the dir en grey 5 ugly kingdom dvd file. it's a .iso file, and it's oddly big. huge, in fact. it's 7.39gb. and I don't understand why. I hope windows movie maker can cut it. otherwise it's just going to get stuck in my computer. unless there's a powerful dvd out there which can store so much. which I've never seen before. dvds, to me, keep only 4.7gb. and that's like more than enough usually. 7.39 sounds like a double disc, but the rettou gekishin angya concert comes in only 1 disc, according to memory. yes there are several hidden files, but still it's only 1 disc. so it's just uncomprehendable. or rather, incomprehensible. you get the idea.
so I hope I can chop it. I don't know how the final file will be like. it's just odd that it's so huge. yes I'm like abusing the incredible amount of space my comp has, but hey, I'm shifting it into my hdd which is working NOW!! I'm super uber happy.
aaaaaaannnnnnddddd.......I want to talk about kame again. okay the previous entries before this one had 53 'kame's, since ky said that there's probably more than a hundred 'kame's on this page. well it's 53, not counting my title's akame.
back to kame. my sister was playing with little SK2 (yes that cutesy little turtle/tortoise hanging from my handphone has a name), and well, bullying it. she was pushing the little felle around. literally, that is. and I was like don't bully my little kame...and she looked at it, looked at me, looked at it again and said
YAH hor. it's a KAME!
then she asked me what's kamenashi's name. I told her kazuya. then she gave that oh yeah face. then she turned back to SK2, fiddled with the little turtle for a while, then gave this absolutely fangirlish
KAZUYA!!
oooh hair standing. yes yes I AM the kame fan, but my sister was being super evil. and NO my little turtle remains SK2, and not kazuya. but then again, I don't mind calling it kazuya either. AHAHA. so delusionary sounding.
and anyway, I think kame looks absolutely wonderful in sapuri. seriously. nobuta. wo produce seemed to have simply reproduced his image from gokusen 2, just without the bad ah beng attitude. but he looks so goooooooood in sapuri! and so preeeeettttyyyy. sigh.

daite daite daite senorita...
AHAHA. oh dear I think I like that song pretty much too. was watching kurosagi only to fnd that only episodes 1 and 2 have been uploaded. somebody has uploaded episodes 7 to 11, but the problem is that they're not subtitled. so what's the point. but it's uploaded by a japanese, so can't blame the person for getting non-subbed ones. oh well. it's not too bad a show, really. at least you get yamapi out of the school. and I feel like watching sappuri, because that's kame out of school too.
and speaking of yamakame. watched a few performances of daite senorita, including this cute one on music station! I swear music station has some of the best episodes! this particular one is terribly cute because towards the end, yamapi is about to sing the chorus for the last couple of times, and then suddenly this guy comes onstage out of nowhere and happily tries to dance along with the johnny boys behind. yamapi gets a rude shock and wants to tell this guy in sunglasses and long hair to get off the stage, but then the guy removes his sunglasses and TADA!
it's kamenashi!!!!!!
yamapi is like oh my goodness WHAT ON EARTH ARE YOU DOING HERE kind of face!! and then he proceeds to sing the chorus one LAST time and guess what kame starts to do? he starts to dance the seishun amigo dance to daite senorita! it fits not too badly, really. and then the two of them are laughing like nuts after the whole thing. then after the performance yamapi and kame proceed to walk back to the benches behind tamori-san, and tamori is like oh my how did that happen?? and yamapi is still in a state of shock. while kame happily gives that 'oh it's just my little surprise' kind of face. I don't understand what they were talking about but it's still funny anyway. their faces of shock are simply priceless.
okay that was a little exaggerated.
but basically kame comes in from the left side of the stage and starts grinning on stage, and yamapi is like eh, EH?! and then they proceed to dance the seishun amigo dance again and I think kame has kind of forgotten the last part of the dance...but yamapi continues to play along and they even end the chorus with the dance step where they stretch their arms out and give a 'good' sign, and then raise their hands along with the music.
sho cuuuuute. and this episode is the second time yamapi is performing this song on music station, and apparently during the talk before the previous performance, tamori-san asked yamapi how is it like performing as a soloist, and yamapi said sabishii~~(lonely)...and then on his second performance, a good old friend pops up!
sho cuuuuute.
oh and ky if you thought the seishun amigo dance is weird, try daite senorita. I think it's weirder. because the song is about the same tempo as seishun amigo, but because yamapi's alone, they gave him a prop, aka a mic stand. so the mic stand seems to get in the way really, but he can't throw it away because he leaves the mic stand after the first set of verse and chorus, but he goes back there for the final choruses. but I like the second chorus where all of them stand in one line, angled at 45 degrees and dance together. I thought that was quite a nice formation. very v6, but there's more people involved here.
and for being such cutie pies, I'm downloading that episode. I was trying for a daite senorita only torrent, but it doesn't seem to be available. so I'll just have to cut the huge thing myself. music station ain't very funny really, so I think I'll cut it instead. at least the utawara episode I downloaded was funny. as in it's so stupidly funny you don't even need to understand it to laugh. and then of course it's hosted by matsujun so that's another story altogether. and in my attempts to attain this music station episode, I tried a few different torrents and there were quite a few labelled with yamapi's name. which is quite deceptive, considering that I'm taking a yamapi performance only because kame comes out of nowhere. AHAHA. so sad right? I'm still no yamapi fan.
KAME!!! and kame looks like he just had the time and knew that yamapi was performing so he decided to be funny. I mean, he's tied up some of his hair, and just wearing a rather plain t-shirt and jeans and sneakers. I think he snuck in with the backup johnny dancers. while yamapi is sitting happily on the benches out there with tamori-san...and then perhaps he learnt a bit of the dance, because he was trying to dance along with the johnnies when he first went on stage. oh and to do some makeup too. otherwise he'll look ghastly. but tv doesn't need so much, so faster. ahaha.
okay enough about the kame. gosh this little turtle sure takes up a lot of space on my blog! and he's really little. and I think yamapi grew. if kame is 171, yamapi can't be 175. I think yamapi has hit the 180 mark. but it's not really that yamapi is tall. it's just that kame is just short. my height! tsk tsk.
ANYWAY. my dir en grey discography has finished downloading!!! I'm so happy! finally gakuto-san has a competitor! gackt took up like one third of my songlist on itunes and he could have this 6 song medley. everytime I press next it's gackt. gackt. gackt. gosh. so now it will rotate a little. because I have more diru than gackt. hiak. and then when I finally get the laruku discography, there will be more competitors! and when miyavi decides to finally move and complete, then there will be 4 huge artistes. okay miyavi kinda much less, but still. luckily I only like hyde. because tetsu's solo projects, his new band creature creature, ken's band SOAP and ken's latest solo move will increase the discography by too much.
oh dear. now my itunes is ALTERNATING between gackt and diru. oh man.
oddly enough all the music playing devices in the house love gackt. my old computer, my mp3 player, my sister's laptop. I need more stuff in my itunes to decide whether this computer loves gackt. the probablity of gackt being played is too high now, so it's not fair.
but my itunes is still speaking in japanese only. AHAHA. as if it's a restriction of some sort, eh? oh I wish the girl would hurry and upload the next episode of kurosagi. it's a nice show. I know! let's go check if sappuri's available! ooh sappuri's available! up to episode 5. because I think that's where it is now. these people are terribly efficient. heh. I like.
and kame looks perfect in sapuri. did I tell you that?! AHHHHH!!!!!! I'm still the diehard kame fan.

that aside.
if you were wondering (I'm always assuming here) why I left my comments link on the top right hand corner of this page instead of using it as part of my sign off so that it resembles the usual comments link, it's because I'm lazy anyway. I don't think people read my blog as often as I write, so by the time you're done with the many many entries you've missed, you've probably a lot to say, if you're going to say anything in the first place. and so since the comments link is NOT directly related to a particular entry, I thought I'll stash something so generic in some other place, and basically, save my trouble of having such a long signoff. well okay partly my fault for making it so long. I usually try to pick a shorter line, but this line was irresistable. hiaks. and then previously I never put the song I was listening to at the moment. but I guess something from lj stuck after all. but no moods, because I find that the hardest to do, because my mood changes as I write the entry. after all, I don't write everything at one shot and then upload. I can take the whole day to write the entry if I want. yes that's why some of them end up so long.
but there are also times (like now) whereby all the letters are just coming out and I'm beginning to type faster than I think. if not for the fact that I type wrongly now and then because I'm typing too fast, I might have nearly no time to think. anyway I don't think today's entry will be very long, because entry time is short. but of course, if vicks doesn't stay, then the entry time may lengthen once more.
and I've got bad news for those in jpop hope. I think I'm getting my dir en grey-ness back. hiak hiak. the discography downloading is well under way and I like that. I'm getting so tired of my peaceful and dance dance and balladeer hits on my itunes that I need something angsty to kick it back in shape. one of the songs that finished first is such a cool song. it's C from withering to death. yes I haven't heard it in ages and it's beginning to rock real hard once more. and then I started sorting that humongous collection of dir en grey pictures I downloaded and I'm like awwwww again.
die lah, the fangirl is reappearing. the diru one, in fact. the kame and matsujun one is fading, even the miyavi star will begin to dim. the diru one is slated to strike soon. once more. oh dear. so perhaps my dir en grey playlist will reawaken. yes it's been dead and quiet for a long long time.
all quiet on the western front.
AHAHA. I couldn't stop laughing when chuan mentioned that text on msn. for very bad reasons, really. somehow I think he's one of those strange random people who knows very odd facts in life. I think. oh whatever right. whatever I want to think.
and I think (oh no think again) I should get ready and start my little stroll out. after I'm done with kodou. yes it's dir en grey! the strike back. ahaha. akame strikes, but diru strikes back. so which is better? which is more superior? that's up to you to decide.

me and my big mouth.
I went back to kino to get the books today. now I'm not just short of volumes 3 and 5, but also 1 and 2. so shitty right!! oh my goodness I couldn't believe it when I got there and saw that someone took 1 and 2 away. argh. it seriously almost always happens. so I don't really know why I still do it. but I bought the rest, in case you were wondering. but the good part was that kino's having their 20% thing again, so instead of paying 59.40, I paid only 47.52. yeah that's stinking 12 bucks less. oddly enough, the books state that they cost 6.80 each, but when the cashier scanned it in, the counter read 6.60.
not like I mind.
so that's already 20 cents off per book. hey 20 cents make a lot of difference! more than you think! it's not that I'm particular, or picky, in vicks' words, but small amounts add up to a lot. seriously. but I think only kino has this series. never seen it elsewhere. and actually 6.60 is more expensive already. usually they go for like 6 bucks in other places, unless it's a chuangyi comic, which goes for 4.80 only. but then cheap comics you get cheap stuff. not that chuangyi are lousy translators, but they translate only the more popular comic series, and then they censor stuff too. yeah clamp doesn't always draw pretty stuff, so bear with it. but chuangyi just blackens it or cuts it. hurrmph.
speaking of censoring, watched hard candy today. real sick show. the girl's so psycho you suddenly decide that you'll be on jeff's side instead. haley is simply out of her mind. oh but she's one STRONG girl. really. jeff don't look too light you know. but I guess this show is like mind games on the extreme. she's even got the audience fooled. and the funniest part is that at the end of it gladys and vicks were confused.
so did she castrate him or not?!
ahahaha. oh well watch and find out. and I forgot to tell gladys to bring her copy of king and the clown! argh! so irritated with myself. and then she's so funny, because she was like do you think the guy is pretty??! and I was like oh yeah you bet (or I wouldn't give two shits about the movie in the first place actually) and she was like AHHH really??!!! YAYAYAYAYAY! I was utterly shocked. she's so excited about lee joon ki. ahaha. and she said that we should have watched the movie together and drool together, because vicks was absolutely unperturbed.
well yes lee joon ki rocks but he's certainly not the prettiest around. like DUH. I try not to have anything against koreans but somehow I just don't find them good looking. or at least most of those actors and actresses which people go absolutely crazy over. so no bae yong jun, no lee young ae, no jeon ji hyun, no. and that girl. oh I can't remember her name. and I can't really spell korean names so I shouldn't try. it's not nice to misspell a name.
oh and did I tell you I think kangta still rocks?
ahahaha. and I don't care very much for dbsk anymore. ahaha. actually only hero is pretty, the rest look quite typical. so nothing special, that is. hiaks.
but anyway we had fun at sakae. I think we were talking very loudly though. but that can't really be helped, because we're all loudspeakers naturally. we just like talking loudly. and then gladys was talking about those days in moe when molly used to hint to her that 'her voice is very distracting' when actually it's my fault for making her excited and laughing like crazy. just that my voice is softer and so nobody else could hear. so actually it kinda sounded like gladys was talking to herself, really. ahaha. and apparently although wenhua is so darn talkative, nobody hears him too! so poor poor gladys always takes the full blame. and then gladys is going to take nm1101e as well, and so that's two of us in the same lt. then for sc1101e, all three of us are in! which means a hell of a noisy bunch! ahaha so fun!
oh dear. I'm going bonkers.
and I'm so tired today. woke up at 10 plus, then went out at nearly 12 in the hot sun to meet gladys and vicks. and then went for the movie, ate a lot and laughed more than we ate, then walked to centrepoint to get my soap, then walked to taka to get my books, so my bag was so darn heavy. gosh. haven't had such a heavy bag for quite a while already. my soap is already 1kg by itself, so adding on 9 normal sized comic books wasn't a great idea you know. luckily there were only 9. it was supposed to be 11, remember? gosh. I don't know where to keep the books yet, but as of now they'll stay in their little plastic wrappers and inside that kinokuniya bag. and I discovered a little print on the side of the bag that tells you to make sure you don't allow the bag to have contact with water, because water causes the blue ink of the bag to run and it may stain your clothes! and too much friction with your clothes may result in that as well. so never use a kino bag as an umbrella!
speaking of which, I still haven't bought my umbrella yet. the small light one at s&k looks good, but I have this stinking feeling that when I open up the umbrella, it will (not very) proudly say samuel and kevin in big and bold capitals. which sucks. I want something either plain, or pretty. if not for the fact that those lolita umbrellas are the big kind, I wouldn't mind them actually. they're terribly pretty. kinda like wendy chua's anna sui umbrella. my sister calls them useless umbrellas, but despite the incredible lace and funny shape, it DOES act as a protection against rain and sun. so they're not useless. hurrmph.
ooh it's so late. carr and vicks are coming over tomorrow evening to watch fireworks. heh. we're a bunch of crazy girls. I wanted to say something else but I forgot. oh never mind then. sleepy sleepy time. my miyavi torrent is still not moving! but my dir en grey's pretty steady. not wonderful, but hey it's moving. I don't care really, as long as it moves. and now and then it'll move at a great speed. it's past the halfway mark, so that's a good sign.
oh sleepy sleepy.

alrighty. I have an announcement to make.
KAT-TUN kaizokuban 2005 LIVE at yokohama arena has COMPLETED DOWNLOADING.
everybody scream with me!!!!!!!!!! yes scream!!!!!!!!!!!!! yes that HUGE torrent with one ONE seeder is finally complete! yes I have a really disgusting share ratio of like 0.005 for that file but I quite care really. I'll leave it there though. somehow I seem to be the only one downloading. there are 2 others leeching, but they aren't connected to me at all, even though I'm seeding right now. hmmm. oh WHO CARES. yayayayay! oh dear I'm behaving like this stupid fangirl. but then again, I've always been.
but don't worry, the jrocker in me will strike back. is striking back actually. I'm downloading full dir en grey and miyavi discographies, and then I'll be taking the full laruku disco from my sister to fill up my playlist. it's presently dominated by gackt. not that I hate gackt, but it's just overdose and overkill of gackt. after a while I'm tired of listening to him, and not so much the song.
oh well.
I'm feeling kinda tired. I think I should sleep earlier tonight. watching hard candy tomorrow early afternoon, which means I have to get out of the house by late morning, which is the time I usually wake up actually. therefore I must sleep earlier in order to get out of bed and therefore house earlier. vicks told me not to be too late, because gladys is pretty punctual. which is good. my horrible lateness is striking back. terrible. no no I shan't be late tomorrow. I insist. after all, kaizokuban has completed. so I can go sleep better. because the other two aren't going to finish anytime soon, I shall sleep early.
but it's moving so fast...the dir en grey one...my miyavi isn't moving at all. HURRMPH. but I want to take full discographies via torrents because they'll all be nicely labelled and in general decent quality. in fact, most of the time the separate albums and singles will be of the same quality, which is good. and most rips by these lovely people are in 192 or 320 kbps, and of decent volume, so I won't strain nor burst my eardrums.
shall go sleep. I shall do my layout page another time. I've everything, except for one. the nana one. which is why the picture doesn't appear! I oddly did NOT upload that picture! so stupid. can't believe it. gosh.

ooooooh. I actually skipped a day! and actually today is ending pretty soon. in like 20 minutes' time, actually. but as if I ever cared about that sort of thing. terribly busy yesterday, because woke up late, mother's mouth got worse, went out for lunch, went for spa, then bought dinner home, drank a LOT of soya bean milk, watched superband finals, bathed and then couldn't take it after 2 parts of stand up!! and went to bed.
yes I'm watching stand up!! with my sister. or rather, she's watching faithfully, while I watch when I happen to enter the room when she's watching. which is quite a bit already, really.
went out with vicks today. gosh. my feet are suffering. and I realise that I indeed pick up many pieces of clothings which I like very much but will not wear. hmmm. perhaps I should go into fashion design. ahaha. I think there's always some sort of glamour that's attached to certain career choices, but are sometimes not practical to oneself. there are people who are born designers, and some who simply try too hard. which is sad, because at the end of it, it remains a dream that isn't quite fulfilled properly because it just wasn't there to begin with.
did that make sense? I don't really know how else to put it.
oh and I think that it's not really that my keyboard isn't very sensitive after all. it's just that my fingernails were waaaay too long and that got in the way, because I couldn't hit the keys as hard as I have to. but then again, if I need such strength to get the keys in order, does that not mean that my keyboard is insensitive? oh dear I'm talking in circles. I trimmed my nails, by the way. just in case you were wondering. yeah I clipped off like two-thirds of them. which is utterly saddening, but it heartens me to remember that they will grow back. so my daaaaarling nails WILL strike back. hiak hiak. sorry to those who are terrified of them, like my buddy. =)
speaking of talking in circles, I hit a chicken and egg question today. I was wailing about the puny clothes that the lousy shops sell here (as usual), and then I was like ARGH singaporeans are a PUNY race. then I thought, is it because singaporeans are small, so they provide small clothes? or is it because they provide small clothes, so only the puny singaporeans appear there? it just goes round and round. sheesh.
and then today I went to kinokuniya. and I saw count cain. and I wanted to buy. and it was missing volumes 3 and 5, if I don't remember wrongly. so I didn't buy. but now as I think about it, volumes 3 and 5 are essential to complete the set of 13, but not essential to the story, because yuki kaori only begins to reveal exactly what's going on from volume 6 onwards. volumes 1-5 is just to set the background of cain and his dad, and the type of bizarre cases going on in victorian london, which eventually lead to the evil syndicate delilah.
so I think on tuesday when I go out with gladys and vicks I want to buy it after all. missing 2 volumes means paying 13.60 less. so that's...74.80. and if I really buy the series, the shelf will be empty right there, because they only have double copies of volume 13. I hope the set is still there. most people don't know this series, and I hope it remains like this. just for 2 more days! this is what I hate about myself. I always say hmmm I'll consider it, then when I finally decide to get it something stupid happens like no stock, no size, no colour etc. argh. so silly. and I already stood there for so long thinking whether I wanted to get it today. sheesh. and then in the end I didn't. hurrmph.
and then the STUPID WIRELESS MOUSE DIED ON ME!!!!!!!! yes it's been telling me for ages that the battery's dying but I couldn't be bothered with it. so now I shall start waiting for my keyboard to die huh. but it seems that the keyboard uses less battery than the mouse. gosh the mouse died so fast! I've only gotten my computer for like only about a month (I think slightly less, actually), and although YES it's on every single day, this is ridiculous! ARGH.
stupid stupid stupid mouse. hurrmph. oh fine the mouse doesn't have a brain, so technically I can't call it stupid. so actually it's stupid me who didn't have the brains to get more batteries and replace those lousy things. to think it's running on duracell batteries! yes that silly battery brand that has fuzzy pinko rabbits as their rep in adverts. so now it's time to invest in those huge 24-pack thingies I suppose. oh my shopping list on tuesday is terrible. well okay I don't have to get everything on tuesday. but I must get soap and my comics on tuesday. ooooh heavy heavy.
the bidding game starts once more tomorrow. in like 8.5 hours' time really. I'm so glad I've still got the old mouse from the previous computer. otherwise I'll die from pressing tab. but this old mouse is old, so it's kinda wonky and really insensitive. it takes a bit to respond. and after you've been using my SUPER sensitive new mouse, this one seems really terrible to use. it's slow and cranky in comparison.
I feel like getting a big soft toy turtle. yes yes I have SK2, but SK2 is so PUNY! yes yes it's cute alright, but I want to have one like the one kamenashi was hugging. wail. the turtle is so CUTE! and if you were wondering (actually I don't think you were) why I suddenly think of kame, it's because I've left the huge msn window open behind my smaller dreamweaver window, and I can see kamenashiiiiiiiiii......and I LOVE that picture......and I'm listening to kat-tun now really. I don't know which is better, rhodesia or butterfly. butterfly is cool with all the rapping and the powerful chorus that catches on like wildfire, ending with a sudden but amazing change in key. whereas rhodesia is more melodic, more melancholic and certainly more angsty. hmmmm.
and horrid jiabi said she's grown out of akame. HOW COULD THAT BE. yes I'm way more into kame than into aka, but oh heck they're so cute together. and sometimes you really really wonder which side is which, because as much as kame is pretty at times, smaller in stature, terribly cheeky and has the true ability to act flirty, akanishi has pretty hair that simply adorns his face, has an even more seductive look and plays totally hard to get. and then kame also has roles that require him to be a normal guy (yeah now and then they turn him into a girl), and with sappuri, he's finally out of the school-drama thing. but then akanishi is somehow the 'guy' so to speak, because at least he sits normally, while kame crosses his legs. but that was then. you take a look at their performance of real face on music station, it's the other way round!! AHHH! what's akame coming to?! yes the wedding picture (yeah they married them like kinki kids) shows that aka is the groom and kame's the bride, but it's beginning to get hmmm nowadays.
oh no where is this entry going to?! enough of the shounen ai that everyone loves so much. because akame are straight. fortunate or not is up to you to decide. I decide it is fortunate. and seriously, I love kame waaaaaaaaaaaay more than akanishi. too bad.
kame rocks!
heh. spotted tv guide magazine at kino too. featuring sappuri! I'm so sorry to itoh misaki (she IS pretty really) but kame comes first. heh. it seems eita's role is pretty major too, but somehow you don't see him so much. or at least he ain't on the covers. and then I saw a kat-tun cover of myojo and I think it looks terribly familiar. quite a nice looking cover, spoiled by this strange out of place puny picture of...yamapi. argh. yes I must agree that there are times when yamapi does look okay, and nice in fact, but oh no I am NO yamapi fan.
shudders.
and I'm really hungry. I don't know why. I ate quite a bit today. I ate late lunch and early dinner. so cranky right. but we're going for sushi buffet on tuesday! two things to do when we're out excite me pretty much. 1. kbox. 2. sushi buffet! don't ask me why. I'm just so excited. I lurve sushi buffet.
EEKS it's past 1am. crappu. kat-tun kaizokuban concert stands at 94.8% as of now. and then I'm downloading full dir en grey and miyavi discographies. I'm so tired of listening to gackt gackt and gackt again! because he takes up like one-third of my itunes playlist. and I realised that 99.9% of my playlist is in japanese. OOPS.

argh. waiting for the LAST minute to place my bids. re-place, actually. so irritated with this bidding nonsense. can't even leave me to surf the net in peace. and then they've extended close bidding, because previously the system crashed due to too many last minute bidders. oh it sucks. what's the point behind close bidding? I don't get it.
oh never mind. I guess there are too many things which we will never understand.
or perhaps there wasn't much point to it in the first place. but the numbers who want to take sc and ph seem to be dropping a little. but just a little. and now I've been bloody outbidded. I should have pretended to declare nm as my major then I'll get 2220 for less. I think I might not get it, depending on how many points they're returning me after I get my present modules.
if I get them, that is.
oh oh my favourite gackt song. yeah the one with the longest name ever. but it's quite a sweet line. like oh whatever. so cheesy. and it fitted azumi 2 so well. too well, actually. to the point where my sister and I were laughing like crazy over it, because it just seemed too coincidental. and I need to go to the loo.
oh you didn't need to know that, right?
okay the time is drawing near. ahaha. I'm so glad that my sister's batch has left nus. heh. because they came in before the point system kicked in, and thus a lot of them have a lot more points than they should accordingly. well they didn't have to use the point system to fight for modules, so they saved a lot, especially if they had already completed popular modules which cost a lot to fight for. and thus what those evil students would do is to wait until close bidding time, and then throw all their points out for that module, especially if they need that final module in order to graduate. they've got a balance of more than 1000 points, and some more than 2000 (like my horrid sister), and then they just throw the whole lot in, to ensure their position (like DUH who has so many points?!). and you know what my sister and her friends call it? they call it:
showhand
AHAHA. as if they're playing poker games with nus students. but in a way that's true. we've got our cards, the others have their cards, neither knows what cards you have, and if you believe that you have winning cards, just flip them all open, and that's showhand. terrible people. and you thought they only played mahjong. ahaha.
my kat-tun concert's still going well. which is a great sign. I like it when downloads look promising, and I don't have to keep chasing after them. well you see some of these torrents are a real pain because you need to keep updating the tracker or force start them in order to make them work. and then sometimes you need to pause a seed so that the bandwidth gets evenly distributed. otherwise there's so much going out and nothing coming in and that's like the last thing I want for it to happen.
3 more stinking minutes. hurry stupid cors, close. now.
oh cors is beginning to jam. the page took so long to reload. ahaha. jam jam jam. sister said ulu's batch crashed the cors system terribly. so terrible that even the login page took up to 10 minutes to load. just the login page! and no guarantee that after you've typed the userid and password, you'll get in. and then she said that my batch is supposedly a record number of students accepted into nus. so we all jam jam jam the system and then we all die die die together. like oh whatever.
oh well. I guess not all first-timers are smart. and not all of them have an experienced sister. heh.
time to drink water!
just finished talking to vicks. she's finally decided that she's done once and for all with my brother. hmmmm. which leads me to think about whether I should continue referring to him as that. perhaps I shall drop it too. but basically she said that she has finally decided to stop it. and really stop it, because she got angry with herself and with him, and then with herself again. and I guess to a certain extent he ought to be slapped, but I guess if she weren't so insistent on certain things and if she didn't cling on so hard and didn't prioritize it so high, she wouldn't have felt so bad today. in fact, I think today wouldn't even have happened. and the silly girl was so scared that I'll scold her so she didn't tell me that she was meeting him today. I asked her just now over msn where she was going and she refused to tell me. and then 1 hour later she calls because she's so upset and she wanted to call somebody and decided to call me despite an imminent scolding.
well I didn't scold her. in case you wanted to know.
and now I feel like doing another layout. oh dear I'm going on the layout spree again. but my eyes hurt. they feel horribly dry. I think I should start crying now. then they'll be moisturized. quick somebody, tell me upsetting. or perhaps I should get my itunes to play todokanai ai to shitteita no ni. yeah yeah the gackt song.
oh bother. the miyavi picture is pushing me to do a layout. let's go.

alrighty! watched a couple more clips from kaizokuban. yes I'm downloading that NOW but it's taking so long. but that's understandable, considering that it's more than 1gb. but oh MAN tanaka koki makes way too much noise for my liking.
oh and bidding starts today. welcome to NUS' christie's. it starts with C too! stupid cors. oh well. so far the number of bidders is still below the quota, so it's pretty safe. I just threw one point in for the 3 modules I can bid for today and that's that. for now. but what I don't quite understand is why I can't bid for nm2220. according to the module chart nonsense, I can bid for a '27' module. I know gek module bidding only starts on monday. but what about nm2220??
oh and goody I've dragged crystal my way. because both of us figured that the only thing that we'll probably major in (aka something we WOULD do) is cnm, and she's gonna take 1101e and 2220 with me, if we get it. and then she might be going for the sc1101e too! yay! I like having old friends around. ahaha. and then she says nina spotted a tutorial timeslot for her course from 9-10PM. which is pure madness. what's wrong with architecture school man.
and I finally learnt how to sing kimi ni negai wo today. well the verse is sung so softly in a lower octave, and because I don't blast music in my house, I've never really heard it straight. so today since there's nobody at home, I just blasted it and learnt how to sing it. I'm still a little off though, because his melody line is not exactly straight. or perhaps I'm just lazy. either way, same difference. I'm still a little off. but at least it's a singable song. those who are fans of meev and have tried some of his songs would understand when I say sing-able. which yes, implies that some of his songs just can't quite be sung to. or perhaps it's because his japanese goes too fast. and miyavi has an incredible kansai accent. gosh. I was flipping through the book on kansai dialect that sister bought the other day, and I found so many words that miyavi uses, which has a proper japanese word itself. but the dialect uses another word. well like all dialects go...
and then just now I went on youtube again and found this funny little clip where yamapi teaches this old man (who apparently stars in his latest drama) how to dance to seishun amigo. and oh boy is it cute. the set is like this cooking show, so there's the kitchen in the background, and then old man and yamapi are wearing aprons and using ladles as mics. and then yamapi teaches the basic steps (I'm damn sure they learnt backstage already), and then they go! at first the old man asks, what should we call ourselves? so yamapi naturally without a blink, says
takai (the old man's name) to akira
and everybody just falls to the side. how wonderfully innovative. it was originally shuuji (kamenashi) to akira (yamapi). and now it's takai to akira. but it's super cute because the old man is very sporting. and he shakes pretty well too! and he's really got that naughty kame look! which is super funny!! I think I watched that clip like 5 times...
oh crap the number of bidders has risen over quota for sc1101e and ph1101e. oh dearie me. and I don't know if I should throw in a point more because the status column still says that I'm accepted. and I don't know if I should believe that column. there's one way of finding out though. two, actually. argh where's my sister when you need her?!
just downloaded miyavi's latest album. I don't know if I should even call it an album. the first 7 tracks were released as singles and only the last 3 tracks are new. great, right? yes his recent singles really rock, and the album opens with ARE YOU READY TO ROCK? [rhythm battle mix] and then it follows chronologically, with kekkonshiki no uta, senor senora senorita, gigpig boogie, dear my friend, itoshii hito 2006 and kimi ni negai wo. then it's three new songs which I will listen to...when it gets there.
but poor thing. the album was only released yesterday. and the thousands on bittorrent have it. for free.
jpopsuki has already seen 772 downloads thus far, with more than 400 people with completed downloads. but I guess that's why they have so many moneymaking schemes, like type A, B and C singles/albums, tickets, vouchers for some official goods and things like that. otherwise they'll never make any money.
I've a good mind to just change now and take an 80 down to meet buddy. but somehow I think I'll still be early. but ain't that good? I'm always late after all. might as well be early for once. AHAHA.
argh my mp3 player's program is driving me up the wall. and I must go change now.

heh me again. yes the daily rambles go on. the daily rambles in pink. I thought of making the entries alternate colours, but it seems such a chore. and anyway the date and akame and my signoff and music are alternated. if you understood that sentence. ahaha.
aaaaand guess what? my seishun amigo PV is now a whopping 95.7% and because I'm connected to the seeder, at this rate, my download will finish in an hour. the main thing, it's gonna finish. TODAY. which rocks. I really really hope it finishes, because if it gets stuck at this point of time I'm going to scream. it's been at it for like nearly 4 days already and that's like hell long because that translates into more than 8 days of staring at it download, since I turn on my computer for a maximum of about 12 hours a day. some days even less, really.
indeed I am excited. ahaha. oh and vicks passed qet. and so did kayan. and now I must bring vicks out for ice cream. oh gosh she was high when I called her this morning. but all part of the fun. part of the fun. what am I talking about?
me and my big mouth. now the seeder for seishun amigo has left. DARN DARN DARN. I was damn happy this morning when I turned on the computer and utorrent to find that this file is moving well and that file happened to be seishun amigo. and I was so happy just now. and there's something wrong with the shift-i function. as in when I try to type capital i, now and then the keyboard screws up. there's just something I don't quite fancy about wireless keyboards. or wireless anything actually. I took time to figure wireless networks out, I took more time to get used to this weirdo and super heavy optical wireless mouse which is overly sensitive when you don't need it to and not sensitive when you want it to. and then there's the wireless keyboard. good for my mother who hates wires to bits, but bad for us users because they don't quite work too well sometimes, because the sensor can't sense it.
so senseless.
today's papers talked about lolitas and toyboys. hey what about toyboys who look like lolitas? AHAHA. what a bad idea, no? but I think the lolitas mentioned are a tad old. it's true that you can't exactly get a 12 year old to do this crap, but when they're 17 and above? hmmm. but anyway I'm not supposed to be raving over lolitas, right? I'm a girlie after all. but lolita fashion rocks. and of course, the all popular gothic lolita which we must thank mana many times for. and the toyboy part just reminded me of tokyo tower. again. and I was just thinking while reading the lolita pages, hey what about the other way round? then I flipped the page and tada, there the toyboys were. heh.
just checked out the storyline/cast for sappuri. yeah, kame's new drama airing in japan right now. nothing much, since only a couple of episodes have been shown so far. but sounds hmmm. well for once kame ain't in school. never mind that itoh misaki's 9 years older. heh. she's cool. and then there's eita from waterboys fame and ryo, last seen (for me, that is) in hito ni yasashiku, aka 3 peace. yep that crazy show with katori shingo and matsuoka mitsuru, vocalist of SOPHIA. cute though. heh. and it didn't help that it was katori shingo madness at that time, with the release of shingo mama. the different members of smap reach their peak at different times in their career. and I think it's so sad that nobody else in johnny's is going on kouhaku until smap gets out. but then again, smap waited damn long too for hikaru genji to get out.
but the journey in johnny's is like a career as an air stewardess. that's why I think those who are smart are the ones who continue their studies, at least finish high school, and some are in university. because it will be sooner or later, when either they quit johnny's, or they simply drop out after a certain age. I don't think anybody would really be interested in a johnny when he's 40, right? unless you're that gatsby guy. I can't believe he used to be a johnny. oh sheesh.
so after kitagawa-san is quite done with all the money you've made for him, sayonara man. which is oh so sad. and when I read that akame didn't finish high school, I was like oh no. great for tanaka koki though, even though I can't stand him really, but he's in university now. and a pretty good one too.
and yamapi's in meiji. ooh.
now how did that happen. ahaha. and apparently, whatever I've read so far (because I refuse to watch/look for myself), yamashita tomohisa wasn't purely acting in nobuta. wo produce. it seems that he's so baka in real life too. I guess he doesn't get drunk on soy milk in real life, but yes apparently he has quite a silly personality and is quite candid in real life.
which reminds me of alice nine. I finished downloading and watching their backstage clip, fully subbed in english, and ripped from the psc tour dvd. they were wearing their nine heads rodeo show outfits (which I don't fancy too much but it's okay), and being completely goofy. yes alice nine is one of the jrock groups which don't purposely pose in cool positions all the time and talk as if going any louder were going to ruin their voiceboxes. instead, alice nine brings you on a mad tea party with them, talking absolute nonsense, laughing in the studio, making fun of each other, and grinning stupidly into the camera. welcome to alice nine. perhaps you think that that's not how jrockers should portray themselves. but I suppose I've gotten so sick of these jrockers acting cool when deep inside they're all little boys who just want to have fun and hope you have so much fun that you buy their stuff too.
oh well. whatever. but the silliest and craziest prize still goes to miyavi. meev rocks. even though kimi ni negai wo is a pretty serious song and everything, I'm pretty sure he's still crazy anyway. haven't been seeing recent photoshoots though. or did I skip them? hmmm.
I'm still upset that my miyavi is stuck in my hdd. argh.
that aside. I found the series of KAT-TUN with an animal on boys_paper! and the rest have super cute animals too! a pity my sister's at camp for the next couple of days and can't see the pictures. well, in short, kame has a cute little doggie, akanishi too, then junno has a little duckling, koki has a kitty, ueda has a BIG DOG and nakamaru has a cutesy guinea pig! oh and not to mention that the scans are huge. yes I like this community's rules. scans to be at least 1000pixels dimensions. beautiful. unless the original picture is smaller than a4 to begin with, then it's forgivable. well there's a certain limit to how much you can enlarge a scan I suppose.
although it remains unfortunate that some of these scanners still seem to scan at 100dpi, I guess you can't expect the world to scan at 600dpi for ya. in fact because I'm a leecher, I should shut up. heh. but seriously, I think that if you can't scan a decent/nice quality picture, don't even scan. or scan them smaller if people just want to see the pictures. but for keepsake, some of these scans just can't pass.
oh that aside. I hope the utawara episode finishes today. it's pretty interesting, despite my thoughts on cutting the show to the kat-tun bits only, which is what the user on youtube did. but actually the rest of the episode looks pretty promising. and I realised the other female host besides wada akiko (ah yes my sister told me her name) is matsuura aya. which sucks, but we'll contend with it because actually wada akiko and matsujun do most of the talking anyway. which is good. never liked matsuura aya. and oddly enough, even though she joined hello! project, she was never part of a group, because tsunku apparently felt that she would be better off as a soloist instead of a musume. ugh.
and I have identified the mushroom head guy. it's actually that infamous cross-dresser who always makes it to kouhaku utagassen every year without fail. I remember the 1997 performance (I think it's 1997), because he was hanging from the top in this HUGE and elaborate blue butterfly costume. oh gosh the costume was really big and really long. it was so long that the dress nearly hit the floor even though the singer was suspended in mid air.
I applied for the nus dbs debit card yesterday. but they tell me I must convert my account from thumbprint to signature. but I don't know if I should convert it or not, because I don't know if I can sign the same way for the rest of my life. the debit card is only for 4 years, but the signatory account is for as long as I use it. unless I can convert it back. hmmm.
my eyes are actually beginning to hurt. did I stare at this thing for too long this time? I don't know. perhaps it's the pinky words. and I'm actually pretty irritated that the silly internet browser doesn't want to read my scrollbar html. either that, or there IS something wrong with dreamweaver that I have to fight with after all. I don't like to think that. it's true that this layout looks fine with the normal scrollbar, because it doesn't block anything and we're all so used to that normal good ol' blue scrollbar of windows systems. but I would like to change it. I don't remember if firefox supports scrollbar html (I know it doesn't support iframes). but at least IE would. argh.
okay I think I've screamed enough for now.
read a little more stuff on wiki.theppn.org. kago ai was suspended earlier this year for underage smoking. and then 2 silly boys from NewS were suspended for underage drinking. kago ai's suspension involves a lot more than just her not appearing. it means the activites of the little group she was in are suspended, therefore all concert tours, goods and magazines will not have her, tv will not have her, adverts will not have her and it seems that after calculations, hello! project may lose up to 100 million yen in total thanks to kago ai's suspension. hmmm. at least johnny's allowed the rest of NewS to carry on with their own projects, which is why yamapi has a new drama after the incredible hype of a nobuta. wo produce. yamapi's latest drama kurosagi, which also stars the girl who acted as nobuta, has spawned a solo single on yamapi's part, daite senorita, which is selling damn well. hit the oricon singles' charts pretty well, that is.
but it didn't hit THAT well. for info, oricon singles' charts for the week beginning 17th july had yamapi at the 21st place, which was 5 places away from #26, which is daaaaaarling miyavi's kimi ni negai wo. COOL HUH? ahaha. anyway for the week beginning 31st july, which is this week, the top charter is the same as last week's, kinki kids' natsu moyou. not far behind is #3, KAT-TUN's signal! and then as you go down the chart, the next one that pops out is #8. why? because it's DIR EN GREY with ryoujoku no ame...which is cool really, because the song really rocks.
and then last night sister suddenly told me that kame is having a new drama. out of the blue, like that. and I was like uh-huh. I thought she was referring to sappuri. obviously not. she was like no no not that one, a new one, yuuki. oh and it seems that kame had a little scandal in may this year for hanging out with a lady 20 years his senior. oops. oh whatever.
back to yuuki. and then my sister was like you know how I know? my sister's no kame fan, by the way. I was like huh how? then she happily said,
"because it's also starring oguri shun!"
gah I should have seen that coming.
and OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH!
my seishun amigo pv is DONE. YAY!! and I've done the matsujun layout already. it looks kinda silly really, not really the type I'd do, but after watching utawara so many times, I suddenly thought of it. heh. and I really ought to go to sleep. perhaps just watch seishun amigo WITHOUT all the jumps and skips and then I'll sleep.
WEEE KAMENASHI!!!!!!!!

akame august 01
alrighty. welcome back to my good old bloggie. yes we're finally back to the old place, where I have to fight tooth and nail with photoshop and dreamweaver once more. not that I mind actually. initially I was so upset with the fact that my external hdd was being shitcrap and thought perhaps I'll stick to lj for life.
ugh. no.
so I tried striking back with matsumoto jun, but the more I look at it, the more horrid the layout looks. as in, it looks like a cheap job. which in a way it was, because I was feeling lazy, just trying to churn out a new layout and then it came out gross. so I decided to embark on a new one, because when I saw those akame pictures, I suddenly had this amazing inspiration (which I haven't had for a long long time) and poof this layout came out in a matter of hours. yeah it took me quite a long while, longer than I hoped, because I did something stupid and then the picture didn't turn out quite right. so I had to redo the background pictures, to make them fit in more. and then I rebrushed the stars because they looked weird initially. but the words are dragged over. took me some time to decide on them. I wanted to put the lyrics of seishun amigo, because the first line of the chorus is so irresistable. it's:
si, oretachi wa itsu demo futari de hitotsu datta [yes, both of us were always one]
hiaks. dee-gusting me strikes. oops. I just love akame. yes, this pairing. they've got others on the forum, like marukame, kokikame, and a whole host of pairings which mostly involve kame. which can't really be helped, because it's been proven (through pictures or otherwise), that darling kame is terribly touchy-feely. a little odd coming from a family of 4 brothers, but oh who cares. kame rocks. ahaha I'm just bias.
okay it's getting late, and I need to cook lunch tomorrow. mummy says she's coming home at around 12, so I need to get lunch done by around then. then if vicks still wants to go out it's easier. heh. since it's not confirmed...
and the kat-tun stuff is looking good on utorrent! yeah they're all downloading well and all. which is good. unfortunately the seishun amigo still doesn't really want to move. which is irritating me superbly. because I can see that seeders are on but I'm simply not connected. and all the leechers that come on have pathetic percentages which leech a little off me, but strangely not much, and there's nothing they have that I don't have. so it totally irritates.
but anyway today was pretty fun at nus. somehow there's something in me that can't call it school. I always say I'm going down to nus, I have to go to nus, I'm meeting somebody at nus at some time. my sis just asks if I'm going to school. it's just weird I guess. we were discussing how scary it seems to go through school all over again. we were talking as if we have been working out there for like the past 5 years and now we need to get back to school and start the brain working again. thing is, army guys have it worse, technically, because their brains have turned into mush over the past 2 years and they need to start their engine again. we only had a 8 month break. not so bad, right?
wrong.
so therefore vicks kayan and I were moaning. yeah the three of us are a pretty lethal combination because we're terribly crappy and noisy. but who cares. and then we had clarissa with us too and I think she's just laughing because we haven't seemed to have changed at all. it's not that she's terrified, it's just that she used to be so used to it, and now it all comes flooding back after 2 sombre years in jc. I think we've all become somewhat more cynical and sombre after jc. somehow. oh and then we went to visit tingyu's hostel room. yeah she was having 'open house'. literally.
and I don't know what else to write. just hope that you don't find this too pinky and I really really love this layout. the pictures are from this hongkong site where I no longer have access to its gallery. If you haven't been following, the two lovely boys above are kamenashi kazuya (woot!) and akanishi jin, the lead singers of the group KAT-TUN. never expected johnnies to look this cool right? most johnny pictures are so typically studio photos. most. and I heart akame so much. but sometimes the line between who is which side is blurred. oh let's get on with the credits.
I think the starry brush is from photoshopbrushes.com, the fonts are thanks to microsoft office, while the entire picture is special thanks to mizugin for happily providing photoshop NINE.ZERO (aka photoshop CS2). and this lovely pinko website is proudly brought to you by yours truly who has fought very little thus far with her LEGAL version of dreamweaver EIGHT, which came in the full macromedia studio MX pack that came along with my sister's laptop.
cool right? I'm so techno updated. or so I feel. with my itunes 6.0 and my msn 7.5. so updated. wow. oh and my utorrent 1.6. and let's just add on firefox 1.5. heh.
