a little normalcy.
it'll be a terribly long entry so I'm starting early and to save all of you from horrendous fangirling, I'm cutting the entry into 3. I'm so nice. so here we go.

so it was to be our last sf service of our lives (sobs), and it was so funny. because we were supposed to have an item, and then get sent off at the same time and it was just odd. but never mind that. and then for some funny reason desmond called us all out to sing I've got heaven with him (I really don't know why he did that and I have no idea what he meant for us to do) but that song does bring back a lot of memories. but you know in my memory, we sang that song a lot faster. and it got faster and faster and the song wouldn't end. one of those.

and then now I have yet another spiritflux cd in the house. my goodness. the mug is even funnier. but at least they chose more glam pictures to print on the mug. the pictures that made their way onto the big screen were hilarious. okay not all, but at least for some of us it was really funny.
then later we celebrated jon's birthday. well we couldn't get a pikachu cake but they managed to get some plastic mini pika to put on the cake. and actually jon didn't have to pick out the candles with his mouth -- that's a stunt used to trick the birthday person into getting their face smashed. my sister thought he kissed pikachu when viewing the photos aileen uploaded. I'm sorry man, that was him sucking the cream off pikachu's butt. it was all wrong. plus he thought he was at some press conference or something because he just posed and posed and cameras went off repeatedly. tsk.

we're still trying to figure out how aileen's supposed to er, hook sum in. haha literally. and I really hate doing wardrobes. somehow I understand when you want bright colours for a dance or as an mc, but I don't get the bright colours thing for a skit. yes I understand why aileen and norman need the bright colours -- that's their character. but amy? poor child. I think charmaine's got it the best this time. but at least I think they don't need makeup this time round. I'm still in trauma over the amount of cosmetics the industry has produced. not just the stuff you put on your face but all that stuff you put all over yourself. my gosh. it's crazy and it's scary.

so after that super discussion about clothes and acting antics, I had to run off to meet nore. I managed to dump a few heavy things on my sister (my gosh so many things!) and went down with crystal. she talks really loud. okay maybe it's not that her voice is loud, it's just that her voice is on the high pitch side and so it doesn't take much for her to be heard loud and clear. but I hadn't seen her in a while so it's er, okay. haha. just that the train was on the quiet side and she seemed to pierce the silence.

SO. nore and I went through the isetan hokkaido fair. MY GOSH. we were sampling the smoked salmon, staring at the salmon sausage (yeah you didn't read that wrongly), trying the ika!! and the codfish roe. plus some smelt. good stuff. and then nore was picking at the beans. like mame is mame.

so we made it out of isetan with a power bento (2 half cooked salmon pieces, a small pile of raw ika, small pile of tamago, ikura and kani and rice), a hugeass hotate fishcake, an oyster korokke, and! an ika stuffed with rice. I took one look at the stuffed ika and went TSUBASA. it comes from this power clip where tsubasa made some stuffed squid for a tv show and it looked so good. but anyway. so we managed to find a seat at macs outside and settled down to eat our amazing amount of er, weird choice of food.

then I got myself a nice big cup of milk tea from mos, and then later nore went to buy takoyaki. and we were totally stuffed. but it was all good. and then suddenly nore spotted xiao wei. we were all as surprised to find one another. she stared at our spread and was like WAH hokkaido fair right. apparently she was on her 2nd gelato ice cream. hahaha. but well nore and I share a huge fandom called japanese food and so this is what you get.

I think aunty irene would have freaking flipped if she saw what I was eating. because there was so much seafood and black sauce involved. oh and then at night I ate meat. apparently xinying has been banned from all this stuff for the next 4 months. I don't know if we'll still see xinying after that. she might just disappear. she's already so skinny -- eating veg and porridge for 4 months is going to make sure she goes poof into thin air.

and then we walked around and round and we didn't exactly know where we were headed. I got my shirt changed at giordano, we figured that the shipment of magazines hadn't come in yet, and then we landed at the photobooks section. nore picked out 1+1=infinity. I was just wondering if they sold that. and actually thinking about it, it's not really like powerfully expensive -- after all when you're done with converting plus shipping and tax, that's about the amount you do land up with. but anyway that book is takitsuba porn (not as bad as that H calendar but STILL). then we were poking about oguri shun, narimiya, shirota, spotted nakamura yuichi, malice mizer, poked about a bit more and then we decided to go.

in the end we found ourselves at lovely liang court because nore wanted to reserve popolo but they were fully reserved. poor thing. she was like HARH?! FULLY RESERVED?! and then she had half a mind to tell yaozong to buy. HAHA. oh well. but anyway we poked about for an issue of ageha but I don't think they carry it. the closest would be either gothic lolita bible or kera already.

so after we had died from eating so much, going through the amazing crowds at orchard, walking about liang court, we tumbled back to central to eat at 3 head fire. yes 3 head fire -- that was exactly what that nore messaged me. I told her it should be mountain head fire, and she agreed. but she said her sms didn't have enough space so I had to live with 3 head fire. I did a double take and wondered for a moment what on EARTH was 3 head fire. gosh. but rin didn't join us. but I suppose otherwise she'd have to live with takitsuba plus rashy talk. and then they all come together, since the 7 of them are oddly er, connected. actually it isn't all that odd. but never mind that now.

and then it began to RAIN. my goodness. it finally rained. it hasn't rained in a week? I think so. at most it threatens to rain, but it doesn't rain. but at least it stopped by the time I got home. save me the trouble of having to attempt zipping my bag up with a huge tsubie package inside and trying to make sure my bag doesn't break and hold an umbrella at the same time.

you have been warned by my earlier post, and the title of this lj-cut. well the package arrived and the package is IN THE HOUSE. yes I crazily made a purchase for tsubasa's 23 to 24 tour final dvd, and it's really good so far. I'll talk normally first okay.

I thought the dvd was very pretty. the whole red and black design is very impressive. nore was like ooh it's nice...but a pity I didn't open it up there and then because the disc itself is even prettier. I suppose due to the shininess of the disc the contrast came out more starkly. it has a gothic sort of feel to it, maybe that's why I find it pretty. it comes with a lovely little picture booklet (although very few pictures), and this weird keychain. the sticker on the wrapper already told me there's something inside but I didn't really expect it to look like...that. not that I'll ever use it. it's kinda weird. never mind it shall go into the box.

you know when I opened the premium live dvd box, a slip of paper flew out. that paper had the dates for the takizawa enbujou performances. this time, there was a bright red sticker on the plastic wrapping around the dvd. this sticker had a little advertisement. it was for the dvd of takki's arigatou 2005 sayonara tour final. THANKS. yes yes nore they don't exactly come in two separate entities anymore -- they come as takitsuba, joined together. tsk.

back to 23 to 24. the tracklisting more or less rocks real hard. I realised at this point of time ishigaki daisuke is still part of fiVe and playing! how nice. furthermore, tsubie had the privilege of having the entire MA behind him, so I suppose the choreographer had a lot of fun as well. but with all tsubasa performances, there's no room for mistake. somehow I feel stressed for them. a lot of tsubasa dances are very fast and require much control to ensure that all turns end on the dot, every stomp hits the correct beat, every twist and turn is exactly at the same time at the same angle. every kick is the same height, every bend of the body is identical. but that's something I respect about the juniors who dance with tsubasa. it's true that they have professional dancers to teach them, their entire months are spent rehearsing the same dance over and over, they have time, they have space, they have facilities. but it takes a type of dedication and discipline as well as attitude to make sure that everything goes the way it should, and the performance looks the way it ought to.

that's why I understand when gloria was asking the bunch dancing whether they intended it to look really really nice or not, because there is a certain fascination in uniformity on stage. you know it's really nice when the camera zooms out and you find the whole bunch of them on stage dancing in that exact same way. it's simply fascinating. and I really mean a whole bunch of them. because tsubasa's stage is double storeyed, and there are so many of them.

and there's actually a menu to look at his costumes. I almost laughed half to death. super cute. I wonder if tsubie drew them. since he ah, supposedly designs costumes. at first I was wondering why one of the menu choices said 'costumes'. then I clicked on it and realised it was for you to literally see his costumes. he had 7 costumes in all, and so there were drawings of them. very much like those fashion design students' drawings.

I haven't gone to look at the offshots and interview clips (there are so many!) yet, because I'm not even done with watching the concert itself. but while tsubasa rocks at dancing and does his utmost best to sing, he's still the simple performer. I am 3/4 into the disc. he hasn't said a single word. plus there is little smiling at the audience, little interaction. yes I know that's the way tsubasa is but it's sad. in my opinion.

1 day 1 night is a really nice song. (tsubasa should try smiling to the camera. takki's right.) and that was probably one of the nicest things he was wearing. however, I really really really hate that stupid line that runs down most of tsubasa's (and tackey's, when they're together onstage) pants. I can't stand it. I don't know why he has it there but he almost always does. ARGH.

beyond that. edge was less scary than I thought after all. I think youtube quality made it more dreary and creepy than it should. in fact on watching the dance in better light and on a bigger and clearer image, the concept was pretty cool. although I pity the juniors who had to be er, blasted away by tsubasa. edge is quite an angsty song in itself, and after watching it like this I understood more of what tsubasa was trying to achieve with that awful looking version of himself on the huge screen behind.

I was pleasantly surprised by the version of pride the end he did though. fiVe started tinkling away, and I thought it was just a well, prelude of theirs. they tend to have some extra instrumentals while takitsuba are backstage drinking water and changing clothes. but then the whole thing escalated into this big band jazz version of pride the end and I thought it was so lovely. I am a sucker for big band music.

AND THEN. okay and then there was slave of love. I didn't fancy that song at first, but after a while it grows on you. on me, at least. and that is one dance that you cannot go wrong. one step out and the whole world knows. super stress. furthermore, they had to synchronise with the pre-recorded sound effects. one step out and it's so damn obvious. I don't know how many of these MA kids are still around though. I don't recognise any of their names. or maybe I'm just lousy with the juniors -- because I usually don't care much for them.

and er I can't talk about the rest of the dvd normally. so I'll save the squealing and just press the post entry button.

yawn. the weather makes one sleepy.

half an hour
of tsubasa is bad for my health.
I need a blood transfusion.
anybody? I'm O+.
the post will not make sense at this hour.
I don't know why I'm posting at all.
half an hour of 23 to 24.
yes I stopped myself from watching the whole thing because I ought to sleep and then wake up early tomorrow morning just to talk to nore because she's bored and it's as if I still have chickenpox.
23 to 24.

(and then she crawls into some little hole somewhere so that she can squeal and fangirl and babble nonsense that more or less says tsubasa more than anything else, and decides that she needs to calm down because it's already 1am and she ought to sleep. oh and somewhere in the babble says that she just loves the slave of love dance. not just because of tsubie's amajing prisoner routine but also because all the juniors plus him together make that amazing disciplinarian effect which is somehow more fascinating than higashiyama and him doing andalucia.)

oyasuminasai. I will er, post normally tomorrow.

normally might not be the right adjective.

I can say...
...higashiyama noriyuki faster than takizawa hideaki can say his own name.

but seriously if kitagawa could change yokoyama's name (although it's very sad for his parents who named him), they should have done something about higashiyama's name. although my sister best. her first reaction to the name?

eh that's the name of the train line we took almost everyday.

THANKS. nore is asking how I turned from squealing over small boys below 17 to squealing over a 42 year old. the wonders of johnny boys. but I really think higashiyama is amazing despite his age. I suppose inohara and sakamoto are getting there. inocchi doesn't seem to grow old. sakamoto looks older but he still looks good.

oh yay this shall be koichi and tsubasa's road. growing old gracefully. hahaha. oh ho ho but that link lovespiral passed me was amajing. it was the 2003 johnny countdown concert. they started with an old clip of shounentai singing kimi dake ni (which TOTALLY cracked me up), then higashiyama! appeared, with a pile of people behind him. the clip wasn't very clear, so I had to look at er, pattern. everybody we know and love was there -- V6, tokio, arashi, kinki kids, takitsuba, and a pile of other juniors which I can't really see very clearly. somehow I think one pile was kat-tun but the camera refused to focus on the juniors so can't really tell for sure, since the clip was rather pixelated.

but GAH they sang that song takki sang with teppei when the zubari cast crashed the takitsuba concert. I liked that song! I didn't know it was a shounentai song. *cracks up some more* and then andalucia started, and a whole pile of people began to sing. higashiyama first, then koichi! then tsubasa!!! then later nagase came out, then yamaguchi and er I can't remember who came out. then later morita go came out. one of the comments asked who was singing after morita. so I watched. IT'S SHO. then somewhere matsu john and ohno came out, and then it got very messy again because the stage was getting more and more crowded plus all the dancing and the stagelights. finally the platform began to rise, and I was like ooh ooh ooh. and then! everyone else backflipped off that platform, and finally koichi and higashiyama backflipped off that too!! WAH!!

I'm beginning to sound crazy. it's half past midnight and I should sleep. I'm going to wake up early for the first time in 2 weeks. and tomorrow no karaoke! wails. but then nore and I are going to eat our hearts out. more like our money. but never mind. nihon ryouri. ANYDAY.

I'm sorry this turned into a fanpost. I should talk more about civilisation next post. oh but by next post tsubasa's in the house. OH DEAR. I am crazy already it's high time to sleep my goodness.

五線に舞う花弁。
MU has been a darling today. it let me take 5 files from it today. I'm so amazed. it's the first time it's worked so well. it usually either screws up halfway, lets me download at some amazingly snail speed, or refuses to work at all.

so I finally got those two lovely SC performances of tsubasa from lovespiral. one was queen of r, which is like oh my gosh I love that song to pieces. it's so saturday night fever but it's such a danceable song. I was so excited when I found the clip, but then because MU hasn't been cooperating I couldn't watch the clip. and now it's happily in my (unhappy) computer. it's not a complex dance, but it's still lovely all the same. I suppose the dance doesn't have to be impossible to be nice -- as my sister says, tsubasa has the seh. I have no idea how to explain 'seh'. perhaps it could be explained that he has that poise, that gift of dancing. he makes dancing look easy. plus he makes every simple small move very natural and just part of himself.

the other SC clip was him performing serenade by himself. AND SERENADE IS WRITTEN BY HABA HITOSHI. I just had to put that down. because I am such a sucker for haba hitoshi songs. such a great fan of his. never mind that his first famous tune was some sailor moon theme song. it was such a pleasant surprise, when the splash screen with the title appeared, and I saw those powerful 4 kanji that said haba hitoshi. I literally squealed. but okay back to tsubasa. I really love 2004's tsubasa. plus I am a total sucker for serenade performances. I like that mic stand with the rose A LOT. sometimes I fear the part when they throw it up and I'm like please catch it please catch it! but I like the last 2 lines of the chorus where they twirl and swing it about and it's such a nice effect. unfortunately it's a little hard to control the exact speed of its twirling so it's not exactly uniform, but I know they must have tried pretty hard. it did feel a little lonely on stage though. then the curtain came down to reveal the junior dancers and I just went jounetsu lame bouzu. it's stuck for life man, that name. sorry to kis-my-ft2. they dance well, really. just er. pick a better name please.

beyond tsubasa. not very far beyond but a little. I also snitched the clip where he sang andalucia (gosh this is the 3rd andalucia clip I have) with higashiyama noriyuki. OH MY GOSH HIGASHIYAMA ROCKS. I'm going to become a shounentai fan someday. just to dig out higashiyama. he still looks not bad leh. for a 38 year old. and I began to understand why people say he's good at dancing. like woah. and I mean woah. he did the exact same dance that tsubasa did with koichi in 2001. just that koichi is a good 10 years younger than higashiyama. there's something about higashiyama that reminds me of inagaki goro though. or maybe it's just that clip. but I totally didn't expect him to do the koichi-backflips-off-that-2-metre-high-platform stunt.

to the hosts of that program who thought that 24 year old tsubasa couldn't do a backflip due to age: please, firstly go check out V6, and secondly, please to watch higashiyama do it at 38. now he's 42, but I bet you he can still do it. POWER. so exciting I want to watch that clip again. sorry tsubie!!

*watched* higashiyamaaaaaa~~~ he's still got a pretty face you know. not uebo princess pretty but that delicate feature face. and that backflip continues to amaze me. it's that okay watch the 2001 performance of koichi and tsubie first. then watch this one. it's exactly the same. my goodness. AMAJING.

you know I meant this post as a tsubasa fanpost. but somehow it couldn't turn out that way. ANYWAY beyond the world of my computer and random clips, I met MOAR civilisation today. I already had a good dose of civilisation last night from meeting mae and company, eating dinner in town and drinking expensive things at tcc. and a darn good education on china culture. my gosh. but that's the city life and business culture. not so sure about the countryside.

went to church today and everyone is like so, where's your chickenpox? aileen was so fed up that she said, "if you could still see the chickenpox she wouldn't be here." HA. that's awfully true. but I went just for civilisation's sake -- I realised I didn't have anything to do. besides stand there and laugh. but it was fun watching them dance and sing. when they were doing the parts I thought of takitsuba. and how it helped so much to have a tackey only track and a tsubasa only track. now I can sing yume monogatari's parts -- not because I worked it out myself, but because I've memorised tsubasa's part.

MOAR civilisation over the weekend, because tomorrow I'm going down to church again for more practices and stuff. then sunday I insist on meeting nore even without karaoke because I would like to have tsubasa. *beams* plus we should go get some japanese food. sister was saying how some of the girls with her in nagoya missed singapore food, while my sister was happily eating her noodles. we concluded -- we're just suckers for japanese food. we just can't get sick of it. we ought to freaking live there.

I shall stop here. otherwise it'll be a long long string of tsubasa ahead because I just watched 5 minutes of him dancing and it's amazing. I tried to look at both tsubie and toma at the same time (because toma's just next to him) but I realised I couldn't.

but ohhhh trust me 2003 toma looks GOOD. *grins at nore*

liberty.
well technically my mc is until today, but honestly everyone in the house (and beyond) can't wait for me to get out of the house. my family's sick of me pacing inside the house and staring at the computer for half the day, and I think the rest is sick and tired of tsubasa. even jinx was telling me to clear the tsubie pile last night. although in the end she sat through a tsubie rant and ramble.

later I'm supposed to meet crystal meida and mae. crys says mae no reply but I'm assuming meida has made the necessary arrangements. I hope my assumptions don't go awry. and meida says she will be late. that doesn't bode well but never mind now. I'm getting out of the house. that's more important.

and then I just realised how much ram my mp3 player's program takes up. it hanged and hanged the last time, and I thought that was just because my player didn't want to cooperate that day. then today I tried, because I want to push in all the takitsuba tracks (since I've finally gotten my hands on them all except ONE so irritating), but the program refused to cooperate again. so I thought FINE I'll restart the computer and try doing it first thing (since that's what I usually do). and it freaking worked. I was so shocked. I've used my player for slightly over 3 years and never realised how much ram it needed. perhaps it needs a little more now since it's er, almost full. which means some things really, really, must go.

a list of the modules for next year is out. but it's not official and it doesn't have exam dates. so technically I still can't really plan. can they hurry up and boot out the confirmed list? because I just read my exchange and dug out the email about module preference exercise. it's held from 10-15 july and I AM OUT OF THE COUNTRY you twits. I am more or less sure that I am NOT going to have internet access there so I need to plan my modules fast and get someone to do the MPE for me. ARGH. so annoying all these admin things. they're so awfully last minute. actual bidding starts like what, 2 weeks after the exercise. and then school starts another 2 weeks after that. can't they just push some things a little earlier so that everything is a little more spread out. this is why people panic. and send me weird emails about the module. and then go crazy figuring the system.

aaannnd somebody must confirm karaoke for sunday! otherwise it'll be nore and I and it'll be expensive. but even if we don't sing (wails) I still must meet nore. she's holding tsubasa hostage. O_O I don't know why it didn't come in a large box like the premium live (well fine that came in double dvd box set) but whatever it's here. and when I wanted to order it I realised that I didn't know what the cover looked like. but as far as the pictures I've seen, it's rather nice. no there's no tsubie face on it but the design looks good. I was watching the dmc performance from that dvd last night and I was like yayayay it's on the island.

OH and my mother has been keeping me off chicken because it's supposed to be bad for chickenpox. shinjirarenai kedo...but soon I'll be able to eat more tsubasas again. I'm keeping off the fried stuff for a while to keep myself less heaty, but at least I can eat more or less normally now. nore let's go eat ramen. my goodness I suddenly feel like I haven't eaten it in ages. I miss hokkaido ramen. that noodle just rocks, for some odd reason. no amount of kyushu ramen is going to replace that.

AND ueda is going to have his solo concert. *begins to wonder what on earth he is going to do* I am very curious as to how sho had his own solo concert actually. what did he do, rap the concert away? I mean ohno can sing and dance, so the show probably turned out more or less like a normal concert. but what did sho do? and what is ueda going to do? I suddenly think of that andalucia performance. maybe ueda will recite poetry and play the piano. okay I'm being evil. ueda has a pile of solo songs and probably a bigger pile of unrecorded and unperformed songs.

and I should go check if I have clothes to wear. hahaha I haven't ironed anything for like 3 weeks or something.

しがたがない。
aileen is sick of my tsubasa (or tusbasa, as she spelt it) obsession and she doesn't think tsubie is good-looking...orrhh horrrr...she die...

HAHAHA. but I'm not unreasonable. nobody's going to get killed for thinking that my favourite singers are weird or ugly. it's a mutual feeling anyway -- I tend to find my friends' favourite celebrities so as well.

sister and I were talking about how some people just prefer the caucasian look and some people just prefer the asian look. and even within the asian look people there are those who just have a preference for the taiwanese face, the japanese face or the korean face etc. there are variances like that. it's like how huishi goes on and on about 'the prison break guy' and my sister's face draws a blank. also, how it took us a few trailers to realise that there are TWO guys in goong. oops. they er, looked the same. and till today my sis can't really remember how many members there are in dbsk. they look the same to her. honestly I only recognise hero. the rest are completely lost on me, even though I caught quite a bit of dbsk since they started.

okay hero's pretty that's why I bother. ever bias me.

my sis found a laruku fan amidst her team mates, and my sister is like oh yay I have a lot of laruku things that I can shower you with. indeed it's true. I don't really know why there's so much laruku merchandise in the house. 2 concert dvds, 2 concert vcds, 1 pv vcd, a few normal magazines, a special magazine that came with one of the albums, we used to have 2 japan import albums (neither was LE though), then 3 more outside-japan versions, and a few pirated things. plus there are 2 more concerts hiding inside my computer. and we don't want to talk about the magazine scans. I have a pile of laruku things. and it's propelled by hyde, more or less. although by about awake's release I began to become a fan of yukihiro as well because he is an amazing drummer. oh and his dress sense rocks. tetsu's a disaster. walking and jumping one. sister and I just finished watching the 2007 tour dvd and we're like WHAT IS TETSU WEARING. and WHAT IS IN HIS HEAD. his hair extensions are incredulous.

and I want that sofa that hyde rests on.

er yes hyde has a sofa ON STAGE. for him to rest when he's tired. haha the offshots are equally hilarious. they talk a lot in the front and it gets a bit boring, but later more and more funny things happen to them and then it gets better. although not as funny as the gazette offshots. I think those were priceless. from the drummer and guitarist starting 2 different songs simultaneously, ruki screaming the wrong place name and the fans were like EHHHHHH. then kai dropped his sticks and uruha dropped himself. he jumped to the music and eventually ended up jumping off the stage. the best one was when the place short circuited. poor kai. he had to continue bashing the drums, and the only one with a voice loud enough to cover the drums and fans was reita. and he was screaming his lungs out. poor child.

but it's funny. it makes the jrockers human.

I think that's part of kitagawa's marketing tactics. he makes the boys who join the jimusho go completely public -- appearing often on television, hosting their own programmes, having their own space in a magazine, having a web diary, and some of these things go on since they were small. so it endears people towards these children. I mean, look at all the fans who attend concerts but their uchiwas are anything but the main performers' names. because in this way, even the ugliest juniors get fans. seriously. because at least this way people can like them because they can sing, or dance, or they're just plain cute. I told my sis about how wanting refuses to watch the whole bunch when they were chibi and my sister balked. like NAZE.

in more real life news, I received an odd email this morning. I figured it wasn't a spam mail that managed to find my way into my inbox, but I hadn't any clue who the sender was. so I opened it anyway and didn't know whether to laugh or not. apparently this girl (presumably) was googling about for any information on gek1520 (yes that's understanding the universe) and she eventually landed at my blog and decided to email me about the module. and I have never heard of anybody randomly emailing people about modules. usually most people will ask their friends who've taken the module, or their friends' friends or ask around for whatever they've heard about that particular module. this is a first man. but maybe it's a good way to find out information -- some of us really don't have friends who've ever tried that module before and trust me the info on cors sucks. it's as good as none. I actually went to google it myself and see what she would have found, and actually I found many other blogs. nore says probably mine was one of the few who actually had an email address for her to send to. haha I wouldn't know man. but seriously, of all the ways of stumbling onto this place.

oh and I believe the entry she found was the one where I had all my slogan tees. HAHAHA that was a much longer time ago than I thought. ugh the semester passed by so fast. in fact the years have been passing by and sometimes I wonder where it's all gone.

aaannnd my butt really hurts from sitting on this chair for so long. okay you didn't need to know that right. hahaha

the days pass slowly.
it's been a rather slow week, I realise. but despite being slow I've been slow in doing things too. need to spank myself a little harder. work must be done, and because I'm no longer sick sick there's no more excuse not to do things I'm supposed to. and yes I can come out of my 'cave' (according to jacob) on friday. finally. although actually my house isn't really a cave.

and I expect the huge box to arrive at nore's doorstep around then too. heh. should be around thursday to saturday, according to the last time the box flew. OMG NORE JUST TOLD ME IT HAS ARRIVED. tsubasa freaking FLEW HERE. as far as the records go yaozong ordered it on friday. and today's TUESDAY.

*goes into super fangirl mode for the next five minutes. please wait while she recovers.*

I shall eat less when school reopens. everyday ba chor mee. hopefully I get better timed classes that don't make nore and I eat japanese food like no tomorrow. argh tsubasa makes me starve. or maybe bento is a better idea. anything. OMG IT'S HERE.

I must be mad. ANYWAY.

I think I shocked my sister with the amount of takitsuba that's hiding inside the computer now. I dug out a few random clips for laughs (yes that totally includes do-mi-so samurai because it's priceless), and she was scanning the entire folder and blink. blink. blink. at least it doesn't look so scary now. I've thrown the files into various folders so that it isn't one entire chunk staring at you. that was very scary. because I realised my initial folder system wasn't good, so I decided to throw everything back into one folder and re-sort. what a bad idea. the screen filled up and I was like WOAH I had so much?

plus I think my sister got another shock from how much better tsubie sings compared to takki. *beams* okay okay I'll give takki some credit and say that he isn't the worst in the jimusho. he has a whiny voice quality but at least he hits the notes right. plus he can sing live and generally doesn't go out of tune (unless there's a huge fan audience that drowns out his earpiece but then that's forgivable). but I suppose because the last time my sister really heard takitsuba was way back when they first started? and the two of them were almost as whiny as each other. almost, because tsubasa sounded better since then. but the difference is getting bigger and bigger. *pokes takki to ganbatte*

I know nore wanted caps of chibi ohno but then firstly I'm kinda lazy, secondly the video isn't very kind to ohno. because that section is very short, and they don't close up on him much. plus it has that vhs converted to digital format sort of lines all over it. I hate those lines but I live with it. oh and plus the kittens were cuter than all of them onscreen put together. and using kitties for a character test isn't reliable -- tsubasa is scared to bits of cats. he even needed someone else to help him pick it out of the basket. at first I thought oh so cute! then suddenly I thought OH NO is tsubasa part of this segment somebody tell me he's not...oh dear he is. you should see his face man. like OH CRAP kittens and WHAT I have to carry them?!?! poor child. but why. kitties are super cute.

crazy crazy rainbow star. that day I caught a trailer for one piece (it's showing on one of the scv channels) and crazy rainbow started singing in my head. the song grew on me. I didn't like it at first. so now I suppose x~dame is the best single they've ever released, because I like all the songs on that single. the rest have something I don't like or something that just refuses to grow on me.

this morning I dug out the takitsuba best tour dvd to watch parts of it. this is what I call being in fandom. when you watch the concerts again and again, or at least sections of it. (because I think alice nine. and kat-tun have fallen out of this category.) ANYWAY. and I was watching diamond (even though I meant to watch sotsugyou but I saw diamond was before it and clicked it naturally) and I have totally concluded it as their best dance. eh even takki looks good dancing it. plus I really have no idea how they do that...knee thing. it's like they turned into two pieces of rubber and all the limbs are malleable. and the juniors get to do cool moves too. I'm beginning to gain some respect for the jounetsu lame bouzu. they are really not bad at all. although I can't really see the two juniors that got to dance do me crazy with tsubie.

and TSUBIE'S HERE. *fangirl mode for another 5 minutes*

beams. double beams. oh and I realise that as stupid as kimagure jet is, actually it's quite a good song. argh it's just like aishiteruze T&T and x~dame. they're all silly songs that make me laugh and go HURH why does anyone record such a song but they're good songs, melody and arrangement wise.

胸に愛があるのさ、愛してるぜ、今井翼!

oops the fangirl came out again. *kicks her back in where she belongs* totally time to do work. enough fangirling for now, and really, this entry has gotten a lot longer than it should.

because we like them small.
the chibi-ness goes on. and they are getting smaller and smaller. I finally embarked on downloading the pile of ai love junior, which is like shounen club's grandfather. well yes music jump was kinda old already, dating between 1999 to about 2001 or so. but these episodes I'm taking are dated like 1996. it's true that I don't recognise a lot of them -- many of them have left the jimusho. but here are screencaps all the same, because nore wanted some.

we'll start with what I promised nore: chibi sho. in 1996 he was already 14, but I suppose he hadn't hit his growth spurt yet. he was SO SMALL for some strange reason. so here goes nothing. chibi sho okurimasu.

he's so cute. let's have another one.

I'm sorry about the quality. we can't ask much from a 1996 clip that's probably been kindly converted from a vhs to a digital clip. although that kimura no ya is really familiar.

aaaaand just because I can. but you don't really realise how small he is until....

...you put him with other people. well YES I assume the rest are slightly older. maybe 17 or so. but hello sho is SO SMALL next to them! NAZE! well it's true that he didn't exactly shoot to yamapi height but this is really chibi. his clothes look oversized man.

also included in the clip was amuro namie. and I miss her looking like that:

okay I admit that's a bad screencap. but that was when she about 19 or 20 and looking super fresh and young. now she sings nonsense and looks a little tired. although nobody beats ayumi when it comes to looking tired. BUT ANYWAY.

in a different episode, I caught these two together:

can't see clearly? here's a better one:

YES tsubasa and sho. the flying duo. SO CUTE. they were about as small as each other. just that tsubie is actually a year older than sho. so that's 15 year old tsubasa and 14 year old sho. like WHY ARE THEY SO SMALL. well yes this is the era where tsubie is still shorter than takki. how saddening. but they were all really very cute.

so cute. the jimusho is turning me into some borderline paedophilliac of sorts. beyond the jimusho. my sister is HOME. with a PILE OF THINGS. firstly she bought herself a pile of socks from daiso (since it's only 105en there per item), then she bought a nice mogu! cushion for daddy. it came in this large green sack that looked like some garbage bag. and then and then she got me an aichi expo clear file! YES it has the two CUTE THINGS aka kikkoro and morizo. they're the mascots for the aichi world expo in 2005. it's been 3 years on and they're still making money out of related merchandise. yes that's how cute those mascots are. my gosh. they can be seen on the 24 hour terebi episode where shuuji and akira sang seishun amigo with a record number of people. they're always doing that.

sore de, my sister came back with MANJU. they expire in 3 months, so we need to eat them fast. 'we' refers to all of us at sado. there are 6 pieces, so we er, fight loh. plus she bought a little bottle of matcha powder. nore we need to camp at your house and make tea. loads of it. plus my sister came back with a 150g bottle of okonomiyaki sauce and the okonomiyaki flour. I don't know why there's a special sort of flour and my sister shrugged when asked. who cares. we're having okonomiyamaaaa. yays.

I suppose by now you must be thinking my sis comes back from japan with the oddest things. well actually every time she goes there she comes back with some odd thing or another. what to do. I shall go watch another episode of ai love junior while waiting for nore to get back home from the airport.

wish me luck.
I have just decided to embark on a powerful japanese listening comprehension exercise. that is to listen to every episode of tsubasa's radio show for the year. I don't know how that's going to work out but we'll try. for the sake of tsubasa improving my japanese somewhat. plus there's no harm in listening to more of tsubie's voice. okay fine fine I'm bias.

derek says salary is in! well okay fine that means I'm safe from bankruptcy but I need to make sure I'm safe for like the rest of the year at least. I ran into deficit the last FY so I need to shut up and spend less now. I should calculate the deficit someday. a notebook to jot down everything like junno isn't exactly necessary but deficits should be counted.

and! it's one more day to my sister coming home. it's been a quiet 25 days (yes my sister is very noisy actually) and it was a miserable first week of poxiness without her. although she's quite upset that she can't sing karaoke with me. heh. we planned to go after she came back, since she was taking the rest of the week off. well I can go see the world on friday...although I'm afraid my next karaoke session will see two screens of tackey & tsubasa. I think. I hope the stupid DAM machines get updated with the best album bonus tracks. I don't even know if they have the c/ws. didn't really check the last time. takitsuba is poorly updated at karaoke. it sucks.

there's something about the weather that's killing my nose. the lining is drying up rapidly and beginning to bleed again. and I drink so much water. I even take vitamin c. and nore you bought good apples. so WHY. hana-san, hana-san. I know you're sensitive and prone to bleeding but do you mind behaving when I actually take care of you.

takizawa. tsubasa. stop trying to speak chinese. AHAHAHAHA. they. really. cannot. but it's so funny anyway. like nore says, it's okay for them to speak. they speak, we laugh. poor children. and their lines weren't as hard as the arashi ones! poor arashi and the powerful tea names. and nothing beats 眼镜侠.

tsubasa sounds more like he's just rambling on and on to himself. and the music at the back is distracting. tsubasa would ramble on for a while, then pause just enough to hear the DAME from x~dame's chorus and then continue rambling. but speaking of a background DAME, I think the ikemen juku clip was simply hilarious. they made the two boys say a phrase that would er, sort of touch a girl's heart sort of thing, and then the two of them came up with scenarios and their catchphrase that BOTH COULDN'T MAKE IT. then for some reason, they played x~dame in the background (even though it's koi uta promotion) and it was terribly true -- their ideas are zettai DAME da yo. after hearing their ideas the first response is HAR?!

my desktop is filled with tsubasa again. a pile of tsubie pictures and the to base files. oh dear. tsubie tsubie everywhere. the pile is growing incredibly fast. the takitsuba complete folder is about 10gb already. and presently it stands at 100 tsubie pictures. oh MY. that's not counting the ones where he poses with takki or comes in a set with him. I have another folder for those couple shots and spreads. mind you, I'm a very picky person when it comes to pictures.

I should press the post button. or else I will continue rambling on and on about more takitsuba that nobody besides myself. that time I did a 'number of times the word kame appears' count. after this month I think I should do that for tsubasa. I remember that mad kame month it appeared like more than 50 times. I think ky counted and nearly died. well this summer ky can get ready for the immense load of tsubasa.

I hearts tsubasa. =)

破れかけた翼。
GUH. you know at first I thought staying at home for 2 weeks wasn't going to be tough. then after a week at home I realise I'm getting quite annoyed. it's not that I have nothing to do -- trust me I have things to do. it's just the lack of civilisation and that lack of choice. I don't even have to think about whether I want to go out and buy food or not. I don't have a choice. I stay at home.

wail. my sister's coming home on monday though. that should help some. but then crys is going out with mae and company on thursday and I can't go. double wails. and mae is only home for a week. plus there's the immense practices going on in church and I am STILL stuck at home.

indeed as nore says, I have the immense (it's really immense) pile of takitsuba to accompany me but I think my mum is sick of me facing the computer. plus there's only so much do-mi-so samurai I can take. HAHAHA but yays nore came over last night. and we laughed at a lot of chibi boys. no we still don't understand why wanting refuses to watch chibi clips. it's not as if they were really that chibi. I don't take a lot of really really chibi chibi clips partly because I don't even recognise some of them.

AND I FOUND THAT CLIP I was looking for last night. I kept thinking it was a music jump episode. actually it was a 2002 SC clip. they use the same setting! how was I to remember. so it's complete with better looking toma, skinny pi, ugly ueda, un-bouzu koki. and of course takitsuba. otherwise what is the clip doing inside my computer. oh and it finally has jimmy.

I'm getting used to calling them takitsuba now. it's easier than t&t and it's easier to type. can stop aiming for the shift+7 now. and just because I felt like it, I went through my old entries. I welcome myself to 2 months in the fandom and I think I must be mad. the amount I am amassing is rather frightening. it's reminding me of the time I went mad over gazette and collected almost everything I could find on the net. that was very scary.

but anyway I was looking through the old entries and started laughing at some things I wrote. it all started with singing yumo at karaoke. man. and then after that we all learnt some part of the dance. and actually I can do the entire chorus now. plus the intro. oops. but I can't beat the fans at that sc episode. power.

and then we were laughing at kohii no hana. for some really odd reason takki sings it REAL loud and REAL clear. koHII no hana. and due to that we totally cracked up at ho! summer because of the koi no saafin. we even turned it into a surfing coffee song, where the sea is brown in colour and it's super dark in there.

and then there's an entry about how I was lazy to find their discography. I must have been mad. the albums and singles actually hide a lot of really good tracks inside. and actually I still don't think that two you four you was a lousy album. it's just that 2wenty 2wo was a very very good album. some of my favourite tracks are from there. and without c/ws, there is no queen or r and no himegoto. how can I let that pass. and hito natsu no. my goodness. sometimes I feel a little guilty about not listening to kat-tun beyond the first album but then I think about it again and I realise that either for some reason their music doesn't appeal anymore, or it actually didn't really but I pushed myself to listen anyway.

I almost forgot about this: koi no wana can be either 恋の罠 or 故意の罠. I don't understand why takitsuba doesn't just use more kanji in the lyrics. it's easier to read than a string of katakana. like can't they just write 躊躇い? don't understand. and sometimes it gets on my nerves that they like to use either alternative readings, or completely different readings. like they always read 運命 as sadame, and not unmei, 鼓動 has been read as inochi and there's a small pile of others. yeah when they actually use kanji it gets confusing sometimes. I know reading kamen off the screen almost threw me off. the next thing that irritates me is how they sing like hyde. yeah that means they eat up most of the syllables they can eat. I know hyde drove me up the wall with that stunt for the first few years, especially because back then I didn't understand a single word of japanese and had zero clue on how it worked. now I'm getting used to it, I suppose.

and I actually resisted spazzing and squeeing. like why. not that I am capable of the old squeeing fangirl I used to be back in secondary school, but no way am I saying that I just like takitsuba and that's that. I rapidly turned into a fangirl anyway. nowadays I think it's a lack of fellow fangirls about me so I shut up a lot over the years. after being the silent jrock fan I think I'm finding it hard to start squeeing all over again.

oh and yes I can dance x~dame too. not all of it, but enough of it, I think. I'm beginning to understand where the poking fingers go to and where they should land, and why previously I couldn't get it. why is furitsuke so addictive? why do people learn it? I'm still asking myself some of these questions. dir en grey used to have some 'parapara dances' that went with some of their songs, and I learnt them all too. I knew what kyo was going to do at exactly that point of time in that song. ruki too. although I don't have a proper video of the ending of akai one piece. darn.

and then I realised that I've been playing takitsuba songs non-stop. almost. very comically, the track that disrupted the flow of takitsuba songs as reported on my entries was kat-tun's don't u ever stop. HAHA. oh plus I still haven't watched beyond the 6 episodes of yoshitsune. yes I have six somewhat hilarious episodes of yoshitsune. okay one was very sad because they were going to behead the little boy. but other than that, takki versus abe hiroshi is hilarious. absolutely. I remember watching that in class and I couldn't stop laughing. not just because of the terrible computer generated effects, but the two actors totally cracked me up. after that lecture I was so bent on watching yoshitsune. then when I told my sister about it, you know what she said? she went to japan in 2005, and they bought some tissue packets. their tissue packets have advertisements printed on them, and YES she actually kept this particular packet with a nice bright red costumed takki on it. they actually had a yoshitsune tissue packet! HAHAHA it's still in her drawer. we still laugh at it.

then there's the pile of video clip reports. the screencap spams and such. I just downloaded a small pile of takki.us because michelle and team kindly subbed and uploaded some of the koi uta promotion rush clips. so I was like re-watching these clips, just subbed this time. and after a while I realised that the mecha mecha iketeru clip isn't really so funny anymore. because I think that's the first time I've seen takki really pissed. I think he seriously got angry with that one. and actually no I didn't exactly think takki's account of what he said to the junior high crush was very cool. I thought it very petty actually. although I think if I were in the same high school as tsubie I would freaking stalk him everyday. oops.

--end of takitsuba ramble for the day--

and now I should go back to doing that brochure, and then I must do up the list by tonight. I have things to do, I do. but you know I appreciate civilisation. saturdays always have virtually nobody online. how saddening. virtually nobody online. sounds weird. haha

I irritate myself.
I really should have bought 23 to 24 with the takitsuba premium live. everytime I spot a clip from that con I get annoyed with myself.

but as nore says, money should be saved for sashimi and japan trip and everything else that makes more sense than another dvd.

but it's still discounted on amazon. 3362en. for 107 minutes of tsubie. accordingly it translates into 42 bucks, but plus shipping yada yada yada it's going to cost nearly 60. (yes yes it sounds disgusting considering I paid 83 for premium live.)

I feel like just bloody buying it. but then you know the bank statement just arrived today. the numbers aren't looking up. YES I know I have not spent a single cent these two weeks and I will not spend very much for another 2 weeks actually. plus the salary's coming in tomorrow or next monday. and the allowance is coming in next month.

dou suru?

actually I'm talking crap here. I'm more or less decided on buying. yaozong I owe you another favour. and more money. because I have successfully decided against takitsuba clips. my only cringe is that if world's wing premium has a dvd I would like that too. which is another point of irritation because world's wing tsubasa premium 2008 is set to start on august 6th AND there has been no dvd for WWP 2007.

and WWP 2008 is going to be one mad mad mad show. 11 days, 20 shows. I know tsubie isn't going to drop dead, but I hope he remembers to shave. you know I can't stop watching the shounen club premium with tsubie on it but the stubble annoys me to no end. but I really like that episode of scp. it's nice when you see all these people you love on screen so much calm down and talk seriously about their lives, what they've been trying to achieve, what they've been going through and what they wish to do. as much as offshots are always cute and hilarious I like watching such interviews. in fact this episode of scp makes me want to look for the takki version (he was also on the show before tsubie's episode I think) so that maybe I can finally watch something of takki where he doesn't go flying onto the floor. I am assuming he isn't going to fly off that sofa. not on scp, right?

and everytime I see clips from 'tsubasa wo kudasai' I think of that song. and as I grow older that song is less and less cheesy and childish. it's actually a very lovely song. plus now that I actually DO know what I'm singing about, it makes song appreciation so much easier.

I should sleep. I've rambled enough for today. oh and since nore reminded me about sho. sho and tsubie were like best friends when they were juniors, and everyone thought they might debut together. back then takki wasn't exactly part of the picture yet. but I was thinking, if we put sho and tsubasa together, we'll freaking get some flying club lah. AHAHAHAHA. and honestly if sho and tsubasa debuted together as a duo, I AM DOOMED. at least now I'm only a tsubie fangirl, so almost all takki-only clips are completely ignored. if it were sho and tsubasa that's IT. I have no idea why I liked sho later than matsu john jun, but it doesn't matter.

overdose.
besides overdosing on t&t per se, I must announce that I am more or less sick of koi uta. it isn't a bad song. in fact it's quite nice after a while. (I didn't fancy it much when the previews came out.) but it's too much. you have no idea how glad I was to see that they performed progress on shounen club. like YOSSHA something else besides koi uta.

and the 21min drama is cheeeeeesy. and predictable. but whatever, because we see rejected tsubasa, hopeful tsubasa, confused tsubasa, angry tsubasa, running tsubasa, silly tsubasa! why am I such a tsubie fangirl. *flails* but many special thanks to newshfan for braving the fires of the flaming fans. it's true that we all shouldn't support piracy, but I support subs no matter what clip it is. subbers are important people otherwise we're all going to go oh they look wonderful and they're all laughing but guess what, we don't know why.

I should start talking something real life, I know, but you see while I'm confined to the walls of my home, there isn't much to talk about besides t&t. and related videos. because while I promised nore to talk about matsu JOHN, it's still related to tsubie because arashi seems to have taken over tongari corn.

prease to watch the arashi string of tongari corn advertisements. in accordance to the very lame and whatonearth theme they've always had, the arashi ones are NO BETTER. and you must not miss the one where matsujun comes out in doumyouji suit and hair, with a gigantic prosthetic nose and announces, "I am matsu JOHN."

nore and I totally cracked up. totally. ore wa matsu JOHN?! cannot take it. we rewatched it a few times and it still makes us laugh. and it still makes me laugh. that fake nose is GROSS. HAHAHAHA matsu john.

and before I forget and go to sleep happily, who is this boy? click for bigger pictures.

I want to know who that saxophonist is. that's from dame tour, when they're singing koi yo. that boy ROCKS. my screencaps suck though.

I wanted to laugh at the clips I downloaded, but I suddenly realised I have a shitload of them. I won't die talking about them, but I know all my friends on this list is so going to die. but I just wanted to talk about the super hq clip of andalucia I just downloaded. tsubie performed andalucia just this year in january, and it's fantastic. it's some left over from the flamenco he learnt for world's wing, I'd bet. but I thought it was very funny because the other clip I have of tsubie and andalucia, is waaaaaaay back probably in 2001 or so, before the amajing blonde hair (which I somehow miss very much), and he had SO MUCH HAIR. as much as nore will kill the next hairstylist who ruins kame's hair any further, I will slaughter the next felle who cuts tsubasa's hair. nobody needs it x~dame long (and no stubble please tsubie no), but can we have like kamen back. and NO VENUS. eeks.

I am going mad. spending too much time with the computer on is bad for me. I have left my torrents to waste for the past 3 days or so, and have come back with approximately 2.2gb of t&t goodness. in 3 days. yes it's true I'm a sucker for high quality but there are some clips I don't have a choice over simply because they're old and they don't belong to hdtv days. besides, not everything needs to be watched hq.

as nore says, I'm on the road to DOOM. in fact it's a curious question as to why this happened to t&t and didn't happen with kat-tun, since I lost myself to kame almost *horrors* 2 years ago. I think japanese media is part of my blood already. dramas, variety shows, music, performances, magazines, comics. so so many years. from watching smap and amuro namie in 1997's kouhaku utagassen to today. I'm still on the road to doom.

夢になれ心変化して
I love kamen performances. I have little idea why. okay actually I do. kamen is one of tackey & tsubasa's best dances. serenade is lovely visually (and I kick myself for having very few serenade performances) but kamen is just powerfully mesmerising.

and I have kept myself pretty happy today by watching waratte iitomo aka tsubasa FINALLY WINS and the weirdo muchaburi. like what awful lotion thingy did they make tsubie sink his face into?! and the boy played dead lah. like whatever tsubasa, we know the lotion doesn't kill. many thanks to wakki takki for digging these things out and PUTTING THEM ON MF. mediafire is important to me because I sincerely believe all other servers (especially MU and SS) really really hate me. or they hate this country, because they always tell me (and my friends) that there are no more available slots left for our little island. thanks.

and then and then. I am hooked on ai! check it. I sound like a total broken record now. I sang through it so many times last night the word 'check' didn't look like check anymore. but I can't imagine singing it at karaoke. I think they should have it. they have the tracklist of two you four you so they should have 2wenty 2wo. but I fail at rapping. just like how I leave all the koki parts to rin and nore. I suck at it.

breaking out of t&t news, I finally have my hands on naito's latest album. like what was I doing right, buying the june arena issue with them so pretty on it and not listening to killer show. my goodness. I'm always amazed by the fact that little yomi has such power in his throat. simply amazing.

and remember Neo-Visual Kei Manatsu no Utage? yeah that amazing show that gathered the jrock acts the last time and stashed them on tv. this time there's NO jealkb (gosh I CANNOT STAND THEM) but mucc, plastic tree, naito, gazette and alice nine are going on. plus an cafe and LM.C (although I don't care for them) and oh my D IS GOING ON. yessssss the five lovely boys are going on. that's why I like bands that are no longer indie bands. they APPEAR. although personally I think the jrock bands look a little uncomfortable on television. that's the feeling I got from the last time this program was up. and even alllll the way back then when diru got to go on tv they seemed totally awkward. even yoshiki behaves weirdly lah.

speaking of diru. I read from jrocknyc that they're having a new single. like finally. in september. however as the pattern goes, this new single isn't supposed to sound too good. because dozing green was awesome. dozing green grew on me really. I don't really know why anymore but I still keep my love for dir en grey. like no matter how much I run into gazette fandom or t&t fandom I always fall back to diru.

if only they didn't turn back into a bunch of ah bengs. but they still produce quality music despite my protests against kyo abusing his throat like this. you know kyo, you continue to scream like this I am freaking sure you are going deaf. zettai da yo. you're already half deaf. and you're writing songs about that problem. do you mind being kinder to yourself?

I meant to laugh about the SC episode I just snitched from lovespiral but I'm a bit lazy now. laughter at clips is always accompanied by screencaps. I have none at the moment. because I was just watching and laughing and didn't press the 's' key. and then now I'm taking the hey hey hey where tsubie loses again! I'm just short of the one where they play sports man. I only have the unaired footage. but you see after watching takki being bullied repeatedly, I'll do takki-who-was-traumatised-by-ringo-obaasan some justice and watch tsubie lose miserably, okay?

gosh that goes against my conscience. but it's supposed to be 爱屋及乌。 HAHAHA 那怎么可能。我这么溺爱小翼,泷泽是没机会的。

ride on a shooting star.
another disc down! haha you know my mum spotted the dvd cover lying on the computer table this morning and asked what it was. and she pronounced tackey & tsubasa EXACTLY how it should be pronounced. HAHA and I don't know why I'm so tickled by that.

and after the dame tour, I decided to shut up about bad costumes. the first thing they stepped out I was like oh CRAP. indeed, they descended from the ceiling in these 2 metal fixtures, so there was this birdcage sort of effect.

but I didn't expect 2 birds to step out onstage.

that was for crazy rainbow. FINE. 2 mad nuts in feathers singing crazy crazy rainbow STAR fine. then for samurai out came another weird set.

okay the screencap's not good. plus I rock at taking some of the worst caps ever. but I have little idea what that torn and tattered thing is. but it's really tattered looking. it looks like a normal overcoat went through some storm and came out like this, but because they needed to wear something different for the song t&t donned it anyway.

you know sometimes they don't wear ugly ugly stuff. they just wear...stuff people shouldn't wear. not even onstage. there is a limit to the feathers and glitter onstage. the hk concerts do it well. there's so much glitter and gloss and mad costumes but they aren't obiang you know. (how do you explain obiang?!) ayumi's the queen of powerful costumes + accessories + mad heels + incredulous nails but at the end of it, hey hey, she looks good. but johnny boys suffer the fate of ridiculous outfits. although nothing beats nino in that yellow shawl. I swear it's a shawl. and I won't forget my sister's indignance when she watched step and go. hilarious.

in conclusion, I present my favourite t&t song:

we all remember this set.

when they were young and so cute.

but I didn't expect them to pull it off again 3 years down the road.

they were in the middle of the arena before this song started, and they began to run back to front stage like 2 madmen just before yume monogatari. so I figured 1. the mic stands are back there, 2. they have another disastrous coat to put on. and true enough, the lights came on, and the mic stands appeared, the coat appeared and I just went USO! they brought those furry things plus feather boa BACK! gosh. they should have done that for best tour also man.

oh maybe yumo isn't my conclusion. I am very curious about takki's er, what would you call it. well in accordance to the their latest hey hey hey appearance, takki does freaking wear some sort of bra (no matter how indignant takki is about it). it's a really odd piece of...thing.

it's a little hard to see but you can follow that black strap. one goes around his armpit, the other leads across the shoulder strap. now what on earth. I spotted it in the best tour also but I didn't take screencaps of the best tour dvd.

although I still think it's odd how takki's seemingly afraid to go too near the crowd. he stays on stage and does wacky poses and pouts at the camera but he doesn't really go near the fans much. maybe he thinks they'll eat him up. whereas disturbingly enough, tsubie enjoys walking allllll the way to the stands to touch all the hands of the fans sticking out as he's singing, then suddenly he'll stop, randomly pick some poor child's head, and pull it into his (very very sweaty) chest. it's quite disturbing. as in he literally puts his palm on someone's head, and pulls the head in.

shall watch the 3rd disc! I'm sorry today's post is entirely t&t!

spotty spotty.
I am confined to the house for 2 weeks. two whole weeks.

who the heck gets chickenpox at 21.

then again my sister got it at 17. we're such late bloomers. then I thought okay fine rot at home and take my immense amount of medication. but I realised today that I don't really have the energy to do anything much. I can't even really sit at the computer for more than an hour at one shot because my head begins to spin a little. this is disgusting.

but then again, it's only day 2 of my er, spots. so maybe by next week some normalcy will return. some.

gah.

I have barely enough energy to even fangirl. the 5th anniversary dvd is in the house finally! I'll watch it some other day when my head decides not to spin so much. and now I know what lovespiral meant when she said they shrinkwrap the thing to the cardboard. my goodness. it's for protection sake, so that the item doesn't go banging about inside the box, but saves cost on shipping because shrinkwrap is way lighter than putting cushioning, and way cheaper than having special boxes for different items depending on size and shape. quite smart.

I can't believe how tired I am from just typing all that.

in more real life news, we have been fired. haha not really. just that they didn't have anything else for us to do anymore, so yesterday was our last day at work. and then when I went to the clinic to check if it was really chickenpox, the doctor offered to write me an mc because I told him I discovered the amajing number of spots when I went to toilet before leaving office. then I told him er it's not necessary because it was my last day of work. he was stunned for a moment and was like er, how timely. like thanks.

and now I'm hoping everyone in office is immune to chickenpox. because derek was saying he was getting a headache too. gosh it sucks to have flu but this is horrible too. the worst part is that there's actually a spot inside my mouth too, and so I can only chew on one side. argh. I thought it was some ultra ulcer, so I downed so much water. that usually works for my ulcers.

lovely bunch of people. I might see a few of them in school. but I'll miss chiok. and she looked so sad on thursday, because she didn't expect friday to be our last day and she'd taken leave for friday already.

nemuritai, nemurenai.

and you know last night after I returned home from the clinic, my mum asked me, so who's the one who has chickenpox? she thought that perhaps someone in office had it or something. I told her nobody I knew of. then this morning my mum found out that xinying has it too. and we really didn't know whether to laugh or not.

so now I entertain myself by watching the shoujiki omakase johnny special. my gosh. if you thought ya ya yah's and arashi's singing of yume monogatari was bad, try inohara and koichi. it's a little deliberate, but POOR TSUBIE.

-------------------------------------
now that I've taken a nap, it's takitsuba best time! HAHA when real dx started, the juniors popped up and I tried really really hard not to laugh. because the bunch directly behind them in super colourful disastrous ala johnny style costumes were...

jounetsu lame bouzu.

see lah nore all your fault. I'll never forget the passionate rainbows. and they're so far from being literally lame and bouzu. (and it's ABC and kis-my-ft2, but I have no idea who is who, which is which.)

somebody help to vet johnny stage costumes please. I know they're meant to be bright, gaudy, shiny, weird, ugly, whatever. but while takki can keep his hot pink suit on and tsubie can keep his bright purple suit on for kamen, kamira tamara, venus and dame, do they mind changing for ho summer? oh plus they're wearing real ugly multicoloured print shirts. (and somehow tackey and that hat reminds me of a pink version of the mask. yeah no sssmokin'.)

but I was too lazy to watch it once through. my head would probably spin like nuts after that anyway. what with the bright lights, loud music and super brilliant costumes plus multiple juniors running, dancing, uchiwa and placard waving GOSH.

and then I kept opening the dvd box the wrong way. super stupid me. and I'm getting very tired again. my throat is beginning to swell for no good reason. argh. shall pop one more huge purple lozenge and then go sleep or something.

my dearest tsubasa-kun.
will you speak to me no more?!?!

bad laruku joke. (it's supposed to be my dearest ophelia, will you speak to me no more? in a disappointed tone.) now it's speak to me no more shite kudasai. I decided to watch the first disc of laruku's light my fire blah blah blah 2007, and then it opened with this fantastic walt disney buena vista like animation. finally the screen fell and laruku was revealed. for a moment I stared and hyde's pants and went USO. and as unfortunate as it is, I was right. and I think nore knows where this is going.

and in case you're not quite convinced,

ARGH leopard print. mou ichido.

it was a sign, really. I had dinner at macs just now (and I'm hungry again already I think I'm turning into a bottomless pit) and I ordered my usual mcwings. and then I noticed the box. it had 'mcwings' printed on one side, and then it had mcwings in mandarin printed on the other side, which read

脆香雞翼

so that's crispy fragrant chicken tsubasa. oops. HAHAHA. AND I ATE THAT. *runs round the room with hands clutching head pretending to be utterly mortified*

in real proper news, it seems we're staying on at the job. till the end of the month at least, it seems. or at least that's a confirmed contract for us. thereafter it may be rather tricky, considering that I'm off for the first two weeks of july, then chiok's off for 2nd and 3rd week of july. they'd probably find someone to trick into this job really. I'm so sure. oops.

and then just now went to jon's house with sum. my goodness. what a mess those 2 are. I'm not surprised that they're good friends. seriously. I was telling foofoo I pitied him for living 18 years with this mad brother. and sum is no stranger to the family either. dear me. and singing operatic amazing grace in the car is no joke okay. horrible horrible horrible. but work is work and so we got the front part pretty much done up. I realised the hardest part isn't the actions. it's the timing. but that shall be worked out with much practice. I think I should list down the actions and which lines they come in. then it'll be easier to gauge the timing.

my back aches from the way I sit in office. and I am drinking waaaay too much bubble tea. and my gosh my nutritea went bad! can't believe it. it tasted a little off this morning, but it wasn't so bad. then later at jon's house I took a sip and nearly puked it all out. thankfully it was merely a sip.

one more day to
1. watashi no ocha aka sugarless green tea

2. super powerful kuishinbo dinner buffet

3. MY TAKITSUBA DVD.

ohhhhhh yes it arrived. =))))) yay!

the end of the mad weekend.
and the start of the crazy week ahead. the placid child must wake up. she's presently half drowned in more t&t goodness and some other forms of escapism like work and dinners. all are bad signs, therefore she has to wake up.

but before she does, she would like to say that she has a new favourite song suddenly. makes you wonder why she talks in 3rd person after a while, doesn't it?

dakara. himegoto! is the new favourite song! yes yes it sounds like samurai (it's released in the same single anyway) but after a while I'm quite past bothering which songs sound like which songs already. after all most songwriters write similar styled songs within the same era, and it's just whether you like that style or not. it still puzzles me however, as to why people didn't like two you four you. every album's got its good and bad songs but I didn't see why two you four you would have lost. the first song totally won me over man. it still does. although after a while, I think I'm a sucker for haba hitoshi songs.

there are days when I wonder when this t&t madness will stop. perhaps the real fangirlish madness will stop, but I'll continue to support the boys. I half suspect it'll be like how I treat laruku -- I've stopped going OMG HYDE IS THE PRETTIEST MAN ON EARTH, but he's still pretty anyway. plus I still listen to all their releases and generally I watch most of their performances and I have all the hyde and ken rubbish you ever needed. and actually you should try my laruku video collection. I have no idea why I have so many laruku dvds/vcds lying about. I think only one is a japan only release, however. the rest are hk releases.

yes I tried using my laruku collection to justify buying takitsuba clips because I have chronicle 2, which is simply a disc of music videos like takitsuba clips. then I remembered. I didn't buy that disc. it was a present. oops. sometimes I tell myself I can buy something more expensive now since obviously I've worked a bit and my allowance is more than before. but somehow it doesn't really happen. therefore as much as I would love super high quality music videos this isn't happening in a while. (although hmv has 3 copies left...and it's cheaper than buying it online, for some strange reason. the price in SGD is actually less than after converting the printed JPY price.)

SO LATE AGAIN. wait I late tomorrow again.

brain dead.
totally. boot camp killed my brain. okay it didn't kill it actually. it just drained it. it's the most flexible camp I've ever gone to, but trust me that flexibility is precious. so precious. although I was being such a distracted child. some days I think I should just throw myself into some weird cave with no internet and do work there. it'll probably be the most productive thing I'd ever do.

so sometimes I think that while it's good that I get my own laptop next sem, it sounds potentially dangerous. can you imagine the amount of videos I'll be watching and the number of icons I'll make? I need to set a quota on this man.

I am waiting for utaban to finish. nore thought she could make me squee and squeal at camp and not being able to see t&t in a bathtub eh? a pity I logged on earlier in the afternoon and saw the screencaps already. I'm still wondering what on earth is tsubasa doing with his good old dr. uso specs. can we have dr. uso back? haha I suppose he'll be less squeaky now. hahahaha

it's been such a crazy weekend. with work on thursday, camp till saturday morning, wedding in the afternoon just now, and then meeting at night. plus we finished the mass dance I'm so proud of myself. but I realised that what lian sze said was pretty true -- sometimes it's not so much about the dance steps, it's just us. some of us just look terrible doing the steps, because we have certain limbs that are stiff. some people are just more fluid. I mean, look at tackey and tsubie. they dance stupid dance steps but honestly sometimes tsubie makes some of it look pretty nice. I'm not being bias.

HAHAHA at the utaban episode. the tub is too small. but we like it small. and nakai is just bullying his juniors. and I swear tackey is acting paiseh. while tsubasa is REALLY paiseh. poor child.

I'm going to scold somebody.
firstly the delivery man. chiok george qingyun yeqin finished their share of the boxes by morning, and the delivery man hadn't come in with new boxes. so they just started sorting stuff etc. while derek and I attempted to complete our box. the delivery man was due at 10am. by half past noon he hadn't come, and so we were allowed to go for lunch.

then after lunch derek and I completed the last box and then we thought okay so now we just wait for the delivery man to come. maybe he got freaking lost. or maybe he got stuck at tiong bahru market eating baos. no idea. but anyhow, later we were told at like slightly past 2pm that the guy isn't coming, and that since there's nothing else for us to do, GO HOME. great. so all 6 of us got stranded in the office not knowing what on earth we could do since we just came back from lunch like 45 minutes ago and it's such an odd time to do anything. so in the end we hopped down to cineleisure and caught prince caspian. not bad, not bad at all. honestly I wasn't really hot on watching the movie since I was rather tired but never mind it's rare to get a bunch of really nice people together. I am so sentimental.

secondly tsubasa for cheating me. remember I had this huge gasp over tsubasa singing the main melody of yume monogatari like a few days back? I wasn't wrong actually -- takki does sing the main melody of the song in the single itself. just that I think they exchanged place during music fair performance. argh. my ears can't go that wrong. although you can really really hear the difference between the yumo tsubasa part only and x~dame tsubasa part only. tsubie has improved tonnes and takki's stuck. man.

since we're on t&t, might as well babble fangirlishly. watched the mecha mecha iketeru episode and HA it's bullied tackey again! we loves bullied tackey. absolutely. his face after they started the song for like the 3rd time was completely priceless my gosh. tsubasa just carried on brushing his teeth. and the funniest part is tackey looked so stress when they started singing the first time and then tsubasa and tv crew has to totally ruin the performance. super hilarious.

thirdly ueda for turning rapidly into a man. oops. okay that was unplanned. just that nore just told me cartoon kat-tun had ueda boxing without his shirt on. and due to his training he's getting pretty good abs and such. somebody should have simply catapulted uebo into the jrock world and then ueda would have rapidly become one of the prettiest around. although I'm not sure what he would do in a band. play guitar? piano? please don't sing. just don't.

it's going to be a mad mad weekend, especially on saturday. will ganbatte. try not to die by sunday. and then I hope I can get friday off because actually I haven't asked. we're ahead of quota so I hope it will be okay, because I don't really want to leave the 5 of them staring at my share of the boxes because they have to rush or something. plus I can't work OT tomorrow. that delivery man had better come tomorrow. I'd rather he come with 24 boxes tomorrow and we start jamming the cards like a bunch of crazy idiots than for him to arrive with 36 boxes on friday or something along those lines.

(and glory days sounds like some arashi song crossed with ho summer. naze. gosh it's such a bouncy happy single. they trying to cancel koi uta itself out or what? so much for emo ballad koi uta plus drama mama 20minute film. or maybe the film thing is totally like takizawa idea, that aspiring director.)

gosh and this OIA thing is freaking hard to do. but boot camppppp I am not going to get stuck behind. must do work. shall go pack my stuff. like how hard can that get. then I'll get back to doing this while waiting for everything to come in.

did I hear tsubasa in the lyrics? o_O I DID!

*cue the hopeless tsubie fangirl in*

argh do what you're supposed to do!

EDIT: I also want to scold the person who came up with tsubasa's parts for yume monogatari. now I know why I caught the first two lines and died. it's totally HURH?! so difficult! poor tsubie!

I can't believe I just did that.
can you believe it? I actually decided to be a good fan and support t&t. legally. oh my. (and no rin, actually the fact that I'm working doesn't really justify the amount spent relative to the physical amount I'm getting.) so now I can kill my computer with 15gb less.

very exciting. I am very excited. very.

many thanks to [info]lovespiral for putting up the post about amazon having a sale. even though the shipping and handling jacked the price right up, it still didn't hit the original selling price. a pity harucon isn't discounted. thank goodness also though, otherwise I will have to declare semi bankruptcy soon. the harucon dvd is still going for 5000+en, which is what I consider normal for a concert dvd. that's about how much sister paid for gackt.

super many thanks to nore for finding a solution to freaking buying it (because I was too lazy 2 years ago to apply for the debit card) and many powerful thanks to yaozong for actually helping to buy it. SO EXCITING.

actually buying dvds should really be the last thing on my mind. but that took up the entire brain late last night just before I went to sleep. and now I'm still thinking about the stupid s/u thing. it pushes my grade up by 0.03. should I bother? since I intend to finish after 3 years. so annoying, these decisions. so annoying. the last time it pushed up the grade by 0.08, so that was a clear choice. now it seems nearly useless.

and I must shoot the skit script out fast. plus I totally need to start on the boot camp things.

but for now, I totally need to sleep. or else I'm going to be late for work. AGAIN. but then again, I'm always late for work. even back before uni started, I was late for work.

but before sleep occurs, I was scanning through lovespiral's lj and I found the post commenting on that poor child who asked for a few t&t songs only to be bombarded with comments demanding her to buy things. honestly the incredible anti-piracy stance of the community shocked me. well okay fine supporting the artistes is one thing but not everyone has the money. plus there are so many other things to consider. not everyone has the ability to buy, a credit card to buy, not everyone has fangirl mums either.

and with my stupid results, it's going to get harder and harder to explain why I take japanese.

with that, I shall watch the few vids I got off veoh and then go sleep. 1ji no mae ni neru tsumori!!

HELP.
amazon.co.jp is having a SALE.

takitsuba best concert dvd is going at 4819yen. that's 3 discs for 62 bucks.

I need someone to tell me about shipping, because I am half lazy to find it on amazon.

it's a good deal seriously. I am quite against purchasing the hk version (albeit 20 bucks less) for er, personal preference reasons. oh and if I do want to get this, I need somebody to freaking buy it on my behalf because I don't have anything to pay for it with.

anybody er, wants to help?

(because t&t need more love and it's really hard to find in this stupid island. there's piles of gackt and laruku concerts on the island, but no t&t to be found. plus I suspect it's just amazon having the sale, so even if I ask my sister to buy, it's probably selling at original price, more or less. plus it's my sister's first time in nagoya I don't know if she has time to go hunting around. if she went to tokyo it'll be easier. demo saaa.)

so high.
I am suffering from a total lack of sleep. I was so high today when I went to eat with my parents. and it's not safe to bring a half inebriated me to ikea. although I am still saddened that ikea does not sell fishbowls. I was hoping they might sell some along with all the display vases. a pity they do not.

plus I slept too late last night, even though we spent 2 hours going through southern ridges. we must be mad. and we talked so much rubbish while we were at it. plus jon was a walking highlighter. and joanna doesn't perspire. my goodness. oh and sarah ho is a BRINJAL. and then after all that walking we ended up at pastamania. fantastic right, us. we walked so much and then we piled the fat right back on. oh whatever. then we were talking about how jayne and gloria were so quiet when they first came in, and now they can talk! but then I was saying if angel can talk now...anybody can. haha I'm sure amy agrees.

I must learn to sleep earlier. but last night I was rather mortified. in my strange bid to listen to yume monogatari's parts (because I really, really suck at lower parts), I decided to open a couple of my yume monogatari performance files. the clearest file I have in terms of sound is the music fair performance, where they strangely decided to perform that song with x~dame (the performance was just after dame's release). mostly because there isn't an audience, there are no distracting backup junior dancers, and their mics are super loud. for some reason. but then suddenly I realised something, especially since I was listening with my earphones:

that whiny strained voice singing the main melody of the chorus is tsubasa.

it's tsubasa.

but...but...

WHY? naze?! and it's painfully obvious by x~dame's release because by then, tsubasa's range has already gone lower than before. so yume monogatari was a total well, pain to sing. and a pain to hear. I'm pretty positive. tackey's the one singing the lower parts. while you hear tsubasa straining and almost screaming yume monogatari into the mic. I went to open the old 2003 performances but it wasn't so obvious because they were both almost as whiny as each other back then anyway. just that tsubasa improved (but his range went lower) and takki continued in that whiny state despite the few years of enbujou.

but I have a craving to watch the clip where hosoki sensei crashes t&t concert.

and then I was reading charlott's meme answers, and when the question came to "what's your ideal partner" (or something along those lines) I was like oooh can I have tsubasa? haha eh the boy cooks, and he likes to clean. he likes to clean! and he likes humid air. TSUBASA COME TO SINGAPORE I can promise you amazing humidity. (the child has FOUR humidifiers in his house I don't know for WHAT.) it's just that I will have to live with the tv on almost all the time I suppose. oh and I can't make noise when I eat. tsubie's a weird child.

I shall go watch that clip and then go sleep. cool.
